Lag!?

Hi everyone.

I'm wondering if i should reactivate my neocron account, i like the game but...damn, i used to have 15 FPS inside the city, which was pretty annoying. So i'd like to know if anyone can help me solve my problem: I had a Geforce FX 5700 LE, and i changed it for a Geforce FX 5700 (which is suposedto be better...) and my FPS is worse than it was before...so wth? I'm even lagging on old 3d shooters when theres a lot of people....I don't think it's normal with a P4 3.2 GHZ and 1024 mb RAM... if anyone can give me a hand to solve my low FPS problem tell me please, i wanna play Neocron!!!11!!11!!one

Ok not the best hardware around but :)

amd 64bit 2800 cpu
1024mb ddr Ram
200gb HDD
9600pro 256mb Radeon

And i get a constant 76 fps in plaza/aggies/pepper park(Even MB On the Zone line where the PvP is)

It does go down to 40, possibly 30 in op wars and El farid qeen room etc, but 30 fps in a zone like that is still sweet

I got the old 9800 Pro and never drop below 30 FPS really so its all good although there is a shit load better cards out there tbh.

If i recall right NC is CPU based since i get like 30 -20 fps with 7800GTX, 2gigram and AMD 64 3200+ in wastes on 1200x900. And in cityallways 62fps. :wtf:

On my older system - that I use for muling - I still get constantly decent rates now. Can I ask you Benx, have you got winamp or anything on in the back? Even tabbed instances of firefox can slow it down...

I think Radeon must handle this game better than nvidea

Because every1 i now who has a 9500pro or higher has a wicked FPS

and nearly all the peeps i now with nvidea are well. Screwed

Hm, I got an ATI card (X800 XT PE) and the fps in-game _sucks_. Kinda funny actually..

No, really, i don't have any other program running (well, norton...), but what really annoys me the most is that i changed my card for something suposed to be better and it's actualy worse on my comp...what the hell ?
