~this is a jovial prompt out of pure curiosity~
Wondering---
What exactly defines expansion as opposed to patch?
...Updating graphics is patching/updating to me.
...Implementing missions that were already mentioned is a patch/updating to me.

What made evo 2.1 an expansion? I just missed something. But seriously most importantly I figure the defining line is that expansions provide content. Am I correct in this assumption? Feel free to argue/Bitch slap me. Keep away from criticizing any company/corporation. Just interested in the definition in relation to a computer game

As near as I can tell, expansions are the "big" patches; ones with a slew of new content, or something suitably big enough to set them apart from regular patches.

Something that fixed a bunch of bugs would be a patch, whereas something that added a whole new area of the wastelands complete with original skins would probably be considered an expansion.

Comes down to the developer at the end of it all, I suppose.

Either way, the complaint in that thread was really, really daft. :p

Expansion is also used here (2.1) for promotional purposes, obviously.
Along with the redesign of the forums/website, login screen, and NME arcade NC.
Regardless i think a 200meg "patch" should be called "expansion"

Expansion as defined by anyone elses terminology:
An addition to a game that adds new content.
Additions to the story line that give the game more depth.
