View Full Version : Darwinia
Has anyone d/l the demo? It's quite fun, refreshing and good graphics. what do you think?
same feeling, would like to know what it plays like as was thinking about getting myself!
:)
Me too. You can buy it on Steam but I think I'll check my local game store to see if they have it cheaper. Word of mouth (from friends who have played it rather than reviews) is that it's unique and compulsive.

I tried it both on steam and a demo for mac OS X. they are both cool.
thats what hack net should look like ^_^
i actualy may BUY that (aposed to well you know)

its an interesting game i admit, and i might have to buy it. :D
I play it, got the full version.
Retro graphics are nice and the game is good but the gameplay can get REALLY boring.
Also darwinians you have to escort to safety on some missions, a lot of them get stuck against borders on the gameworld, and if you dont get the right amount of darwinians to safety you cant complete the mission and have to restart everything, problem is say theres 100 darwinians on the map, you have to get 80 to safety, if more then 20 get stuck or get killed thats it, tis a pain in the ass.
Also its pretty much the same thing, over and over, every mission.
Bought the full game ages ago. Love it, and it is truly unique.
It does have some major flaws, but certainly no more (in all honestly, less really) than NC does. Certainly well worth the money.
Oh, and remember that hacknet video I did - the music for that was lifted from the darwinia soundtrack.
If you get into it, the game can be suprisingly emotional, and its also the only game I have ever completed without seeing the same intro sequence twice.

You only played it once? ;)
N
Nope, it has something like 9 or 10 different intros.
