Hi, I tried to join Neocron about a year ago. I input my CC information on C2P's website, and finished registration.

Then C2P called my home telephone number, and asked me to confirm my information. Including my special reminder, etc. I was very put-off, and ended up canceling my subscription immediately.

I'm very much interested in signing up for Neocron again, but not if it results in this invasion of privacy. Has the registration format changed into a less intrustive process? Or should I keep looking for another MMORPG?

Thank you for the help.

you can use paybycash, who don't accept creditcards directly, but do accept paypal. other option is click2pay, who keep doing things they should do for online maffia casino's, but aren't supposed to do for Neocron clients!

I have not got a phonecall from them yet. When I signed up for the NC2 trial, like 1 minute after I signed up (felt like it), the phone rang. I picked up the phone and usually say what I do in swedish when I answer the phone. Then this american woman says "Wrong number" and hangs up on me. Could that have been C2P? If it was, "lol". I've paid nc2 btw and all that and have still not got any phonecall from them. So when should I expect a phone call? I want someone to talk to on the phone :(

i can't remember the details, but i can remeber having a telephone call with someone from C2P.

It say's on their homepage (sign in form):

"CLICK2PAY will be calling you in a short while. Please indicate the phone number you would prefer us to contact you at."

So this seems to be normal. Maybe in order to verify, that all data is correct. Therefore this is (in my opinion) in no way bad.

Remember, you have to sign-up through our service because we have an agreement with C2P for them to waive many of their checks. Don't go off what they say they will do on their website because that doesn't apply in many cases.

If you want full details on what checks are made by C2P when signing up for Neocron through our service please contact account@neocron.com.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'll definately check out the pay-by-cash method, as I have a CC account with paypal already.

A few old Neocron friends of mine were on the fence regarding re-joining, because of the whole personal telephone call issue - They'll be happy to know there is an alternative.

Thanks again folks!
