Fight Night revival Terra next Saturday!!!

Some members of FreedomForce were neofragging for fun a bit, and would like to recreate the Pluto classic: The Fightnight series.

The idea of it is really simple: Everyone who wants to participate in the tournament sends a mail to me (Vampire on Terra) with Class, ranking, and main weapon, and we'll get you scheduled in, basic idea of it is pretty simple: winner goes on to the next round, we'll try to do our best rostering equal people against eachother, and in the end a Free For All fight will take place

The rules are very simple:

-If held at an op, no hacking the op (not atleast till 1 hour after the event officially ends)

- No PK'ing, anyone shooting anyone but their opponent, when both ready, will be dispelled from the event, and possibly banned from (hopefully) fightnights to follow.
- Respect for everyone competing, no: "omg i don't wanna fight him coz .....".
- Requests for non rostered fights go to the organizer, which is either me (Vampire on Terra) or someone else who will make clear he is.


Unfortunately it's not possible to let Blessed Hybrids, and PPU's compete in the fights, offcourse your more than welcome to do random matches and watch, but to keep the tournament fair we cannot allow highly buffed characters like these.

Anyone confirming to the entry specifications: Not using blessed or higher spells (so no blessed hybrids/ppu's), can use anything they have at their disposal, if you want to shock someone or damageboost or poison or use a nailgun, you can do that, aslong as there is no outside influence (foreign buffs/etc), also drugging up is perfectly allowed!

Yes exe pe's ware overpowered and apu hybrids are perfectly balanced :rolleyes: . A exe pe with damage boost tgat takes 4 seconds to cast is OVERPOWERED but a apu with dmg boost at capped freq is fine.

You have no idea what it takes to get enough stats on the Xbow, youll be using a 3drug setup with Slasher PE style con.

I never really tryed an APU hyb setup in neoskiller but you said they have worse con than a PE, so I made one with a con setup like a PE's with 400 hitpoints. With damage boost and I'm sure if its a good HL it will be capped freqency, this monster will have no problems killing anyone.

Bugs does not outdamage an APU hybrid, are you playing the same f**king game ?? :wtf: his xbow does 38 damage to my PE and 35 damage to asurmens PE. Again your the one to blame if its killing you so much..

Actually, I've played both APU Hyb and PE, and have fought others. So my opiion on it is this - a APU Hyb can have PE defence(NOT con) with about Judge PE damage, or can have about Exe/Slasher PE damage, with sub-PE defences. Of course, theres a whole load of ways in which the classes are differnt - theway the attack works, the bonii from PPUs, the ammo vs boosters thing...
Overall an APU Hyb does come out as the stronger class, but not by as much as some people seem to think.
The setup lil T posted will get about 410% or so on HL and will NOT cap freq.

I deleted that char, because it was way too lame to play them.
The people in blood know i had one. Hell, fireproof had one for two weeks, he was killing everyone with it and deleted it too.

Cmaster has an apu hybrid. He also has a pe. apu hybrids can get pe health and resists, and they outdammage any pe. But sure if you insist on not bringing your spy, go right ahead :-)

And Lore, if you say that the no dex req makes a xbow pe overpowered, make me one pls.. Post the setup on the forums where you use a moveon, ppr , mini ppr etc... and still get good stats on the xbow. I'm the same as a slasher or exec pe. Very low psi use too.

He's right. (well, in general - against say spies, it may not be true). I have more APU and more PPW than Lil Ts setup, andall my 85 levels of int are in PSU (209) and get 89/min on HL (440% damage). Now, you can get higher damage on HL, but you lose out on health, runspeed and FOR. That said, its still a powerful class (probably more so than all bar blessed hybrid) - but I don't buy for a moment this "better than HT PE damage and better than LT PE reists" line.

I could not give a crap if its not capped, it will still do its laggy random damage sometimes hitting for 80 damage.... The class can damage boost fast as hell and for as many times as it wants, can also strip a PE's shelter befor the PE will kill it.

Not worth it, more points to spec in PPU and it's far from as effective as normal DB.

Anyway, too bad it couldn't be postponed until the first weekend of the 14 day free trial or else i could probably have attented as well :)

Well thats more then an exe pe does. ROF is 170, or 85 if we go for burst rof, which makes way more sense. You have a higher rof and about the same dmg per shot as an executioner with no recticle lock and on top of that an exe can just all the sudden miss with the lock fully on.

Saying you do more damage then a hightech pe seems right to me.

I got him to admit on Trade that he used My pe's setup, that's how much I owned... And I would like to thank all of you for the nice Loot from that belts... Especially you Micheal. That 5 slot Blessed Heal was Great :)

Note: I have never had any hybird xcept for this one which i started about 1-2 weeks ago... And Blessed Hybirds are Gay. I dont think I would ever go Blessed. Your a pussy for thinking your good if you can Clip with a blessed heal and kill 6 people..

I made my xbow pe after the nerf, and it was all for a stupid bet on who could get the woc on a pe first.

You should be able to run cast if youve got a decent amount of psi use and a good psi setup.

I don't understand the format Fight Night wasn't a tourneyment? Maybe a tourney would be a feature but certainly not the main event, i'm sure allot of the more experianced runners will remember it was simply a stable enviroment for people to bet on duels in which you could be assured a fair fight on agreed rules, a rezz and the chance to inflate ones ego ;), seems like Fight night is currently being used as a tool for inter-clan relations.

Me & Kramer used to keep FN as neutral as possible, ran by one man not one clan (prehaps sponsored), if the location that was chosen was in a clans territory then they were politely asked to open the GR (after GR locking was enabled) the participents provided security.

Lag WAS an issue in the event. After more than 20 people (if I remember) entered that room I wasnt able to dual anymore.

Saying all that however, I dont remember seeing you there Dargeshaad, so why the criticism?

Well, I was only spectating, but when the UG wass filled with people, and it was
a good 20-30 ppl there, my fps went from 60ish to 30ish doing nothing, just
standing still, and my bandwidth was 1-1.5k so there was lag indeed. I guess
if you were actually fighting it would be even worse.

Great event, even with the disturbances some people caused :-)

I had a lot of fun and even won more duels than expected ...

I`d like to redo the duel against Sweet Leaf ... under better condition with more FPS because we were not really able to hit each other i think ;)

And Fireproof - I`ll fight you again anytime, that was a GREAT duel :)

What you guys think i already mentioned during FN ... i`d like to do a closed tournament with registration fee - everything going to a pot for prizes of course. I`d setup brackets and the duels (each one seperate) would take place with only a referee (possibly me ? dunno), the contestants and a cameraguy recording the fight for everyone to see :)

I`d figure a best of 3 format with looserbracket would be nice. I have some experience in that matter as i hosted the CPL Cologne & CPL Holland events a few years back (Big Q3-Tournament).

If you would like me doing such a thing i accept registrations to my PM box. I`d like to know your Charname, Class, Weapon-preference and the Timezone you`re from.

a lot of other people complains about lag as well ask lil T lame etc it was horrible unless u have a really good comp and guess what fluffy dosent
so fight today or tomorrow and see how that goes no harm in that

Sounds like the event was a good laugh. Sorry I missed out on it, although I was gonna be there purely to spectate and represent FF.

Gotta love the way everyone gets so fired up in NC. Should maybe start a whole grudge match event up. There certainly seems to be enough animosity around to make it interesting :)

Yeah I had 20 FPS standing still outside the ring but trying to have a fight at 10 FPS is horrible, reminded me of the old NC1 op wars were no one could hit each other. I suggest the next fight night be recorded with only the fighters, its a shame not everyone has uber comps =/

about 10 Fps specating with force fog all the way on... 3-4 Fighting at Fight night... But me and Bugs had a Few Duels in Neofrag... And I think we cAn say We are Pretty Evenly matched. it ended up in 2-2. I'd be glad to fight again any time. :angel:

Yep, tournament fight night was quite fun for 1 time, but making the setup of it go well and getting everyone to fight eachother in order and keeping tabs on who fought/won who, is lots of work. Next ones gonna be a old style fightnight where people can get their own fights in for people to bet on!
