I thought it was modifying the ini colours file to make the borders of the RPOS transparent. (Which I think is possible.)

Now I've looked again, well those borders are missing from parts of the RPOS but not for the other RPOS windows...

There's nothing bad on it. People with different crosshairs have no mysterious advantage using that. So why can't you accept, that some people aren't happy with the default things.
The NC-Client is made to support different HUDs and Crosshairs. You don't have to change/modify anything to use them.
All you have to is to copy a bitmapfile (with correct size and name) into your local rpos-folder.
Nobody using different gfx-files has b]modified[/b] anything. So using another HUD is no forbidden clientmod.

I don't think its a situation of - You made a change so i am gonna tell, but more, We also feel the Hud is a little in your face, but since we have been told we are not allowed to change it, we havent. Given an oppertunity we will though.

In NC1, it was possible to go mass doybot hunting as the spawns were reasonable then, and there were no 118/118 guards nearby to aggro on you. There was a reason to hunt them too as their loot was very valuable. Here's the aftermath of a typical day's doybot hunting at the house in J-11.
