Directx 9.0C & No Reflections

I'm currently running Directx 9.0C on a 7800GT with all current updated drivers for my card. I know some people can see refelections, but i can't see a damn reflection, and I really wish I could. I found Directx 7.0 but apparently its impossible to uninstall 9.0C.

Is their any other quick fixes to this very annoying technical problem? Thanks in advance!

To use DX7 you dont have to deinstall DX9

Just hit SHIFT while starting NEOCRON, and you'll get the display options screen, which lets you select the DX7 driver. Or use the "Configure..."->"Configure Hardware" from the launcher.

if i use DX7 the everything looks better on my DX7 GPU. Except the NPC's they all look strange from distance, if i get closer they morph into correctly forms.
But my fps are increasing dramatically!

I just looked it up: none of both is in the oxford dictionary, but having un- as prefix for reverse and de- as prefix for the contrary doings, i'd guess both works

I get this too in DX9 mode i can't see reflections in mirrors in the apartment.

In DX7 i can. :confused:

It's not only in appartments, it's all reflections in general, (alot of lighting on your character also). They should really sticky this directx 7 somewhere for all the new players. I sure wish I would have known about it earlier.... and yeah it worked, thanks again max :)

Yeah, I get nothing when using DX 9 either. I have a radeon x800 if that helps.

Really KK, how hard would this be to fix? I love the enhanced lighting of DX9 but the static mirrors annoy the fuck out of me.

we are getting good cards like Geforce 7800GT or Radeon X800. (I myself own geforce 78000GT).

...and there are no reflections ingame. Who s in debt?
