As much as I am intrigued by Japanese culture, I probably won't go there ever, I hate humid climates. Me is a winter person, nice and cold and dry.

Well when you get older and if you go to university you could go for a year's or semester's study abroad. This includes many places in SE Asia, Japan, anywhere with a university really. Or if you do an TEFL/TESL course you could always go teach English abroad, so you can support yourself AND learn the local language.

This is all for a few years ahead tho, but I think if you google around a bit you might be able to find some sort of short exchange programme somewhere.

Wisconsin? The cheese state?
