Well, I was thinking - Does NC have a public TS server?

If not, would anyone think that having a TeamSpeak server, probably best as a faction based one (NC or DoY, and CM can go either)?

Is anyone able to host one? Thinking at least a 50 person one, because IMO it'd add a lot to the role of the game, and it'd also help with attracting new players, encouraging organisation and such.

We used TS, but one of the clannies paid for a server.
Integrated voice chat would be nice though.

The ingame trade spam is bad enough... now imagine when Asurmen and co. start filling our ears with the usual ingame crap.

How about a nice structure like
1) A Room for all
2) A Room for side (DOY and NC and those no bodies - Mercs)
3) A Room per faction
4) If you have active members (played in the last 2 days) a room per clan

If there was scripting in TS, you KK could use a script to permission and create channels once a day ....

It could go quite well, but on the other hand people could be shouting all kinds of abuse and may put people off the game. could be worth a try tho.

Eh? I've been in channels with 80+ people on PlanetSide.. And that's just the commanders :eek: .

Also TS is better than Vent for this typ of thing.

Don't know about TS, but Vent doesnt cost anything, atleast if you have the
2.1.4 or 2.1.3, cant remember, version wich was the last free version.

You need an older version of it, the ones that were freeware.

It's free to host your own TS server. You can rent TS servers however though it is a little expensive.

Also, that's why you have a well thought out TS structure. You only give any form of op/admin abilities to people you know aren't morons. And also you make sure all channels require voice right via registration.
