Damn u beat me to making the thread on this. Cant wait to watch it hopefully by 2moro.
It could be great, but not near the game FFVII only reason the movie will give you about 1-2hours of entertainment while the game produced a whopping 80+hrs if you did Everything

The action is soooooo sexy and woooooo @ vincent!!
[Edit] Never thought i would say this, but yea games aint made like they used to
be....seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Must be why i love mmo's so much :D

FF1 was great, but all the characters were generic. FF2 and 3(6) were really the best in the series, in my eyes. After that they got too damn fancy.

Well in my eyes, not that the reason was of the funky gfx at the time, but it was actually the story that drew me into the game. Was the only game and still is the only game that has given me the constant surprises and never ending story. I played the others and still think there good but not on par with FF7. FF9 closley matched FF7 but never completly took me by surprise as FF7.
Still to play the recent 10 and 10-2 and also not forgetting 11. After reading tomshardware review of FF11 I just have to get it no matter what bad things may be said of it.

How long is the actual movie then.
Its an hour and 40 min with the end credits...but it has this really cool bit with
cloud on his bike but the BG is all real...looks damn sweet
all in all i wuv'd the movie, wont say any more cause i dont wana spoil it :D

i despised cloud he was everybdoyds favorite character but i realy realy despised him, i felt more of an afinity with zidane from 9 or squall for 8, atleast squall was suposed to be emo =P

That was quite disappointing, scenario-wise. They could come up with something better than basic fan-service.
The animation is good though.
The movie was shite, sorry to disappoint u :P
Only thing what was good in it was the combat scenes, +"graphics" :P

Ahhh just watched it, I think the movie was great but could have done a better story to it. All in all I kinda liked it, they included the fantasy element in that the spirits within didnt have which a majority of fans wanted.
Gotta love the ringtone on the phone though when tifa was fighting. And that huge fight scene with the reunion was great.

Just saw this too and was wondering when a post would show up.
tbh though... it was great eye candy... and it had some good moments in it... but it felt like watching a hundred cutscenes from a game tacked together. Didn't make a lot of sense (guess it's difficult to read the subtitles and watch what is going on at the same time) but overall it just felt like they should have been done with it and made FF7-2.. would have made a hell lot more money :)

KAZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. it was all about KAZAAAAAAAAA and resurrecting the dark evil. I just didnt like the way the story was set out. Yea the eye candyness was amazing, if only spirits within had that fantasy element it woulda been tons better.

Was weird, but it was alright :) .
Anyone notice at the begining when the helicopter went into the fog in that crater or volcano or whatever? I could swear i heard a mechturtle right there.

I do take a dim view on copyright theft. Some would say taking dim views is what I do best. Some would die more slowly though.

weeeeeeeeeeee we all got edited.
I didn't really like the story, the whole "troubled hero who failed so he's all goth now and comes to peace with the failure by the end" story has been done a billion times. The cgi wasn't bad though.
PS I agree with glok about 3(6) being my favorite.
