A small group of pilots gathered in the dark for what promised to be one of the most difficult events in the Championship - the glider challenge. The format was that of a simple first-over-the-line race, but with the known frailness of gliders, icombined with the difficulty of the course, it was going to be difficult to finish. The course consisted of a series of hoops at varying heights that must be flow through - the climbing and turning between some hoops was extreme.
The first race began at night, and by the end of the first lap, all but two of the contestants had blow their gliders. In the end, FrozenFury took first place, closelsy followed by Archy. It was decided to hold a second race after sunrise to compete for 3rd place onwards. However, the result of this race was identical to the first - all other entratns DNF, Frozen first and Leo second.
Hope to see good attendnace again at next week's competion - QUAD X
