I have BF 2 though i cannot seem to go over 20FPS with all settings on mediun...
my specs are as follow- as stated on DXdiag.
BIOS: System defult
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHZ (2CPUs)~2.80GHZ - Hyper Threading
Memory: 1022MB RAM
Page file (dunno if this is useful but anyway): 361mb Used, 3064 MB avaliable.
Operating system: Windows XP (service Pack 1)
DirectX version: DirectX 9.0 or better (got july)

My dads computer is a :
Pentium 4 : 3 Ghz with Hyper Threading
DDR Ram : 512 mb
GeForce FX 5700LE 128 MB using Nvidia drivers
Windows XP
DirectX 9.0C
and it runs battlefield 2 without any problems at all.
My computer is of similar spec to nobby's except for a geforce 6600GT and runs Battlefield 2 perfectly, battlefield 2 needs a minimum of a geforce 5600 so i don't really see any problems.
It should work pretty well.

guys that replied to the thread, what sorta FPS do you get ingame and what settings do you stick it at?

Ok i just did what you said.
I have my settings at 1024x768 everything medium quality with Anti-aliasing off, view distance set at 90% and i get between 75 and 84 fps
In my last post i only posted my graphics card the rest of the system is a AMD althon XP 3200+ everything at stock value (not overclocked at all) 512Mb DDR ram and an Asus geforce 6600GT 128MB AGP version
oh my god those drivers are the sex!
my FPS went from 18-20 to 35-40!
Though i have to admit that most of the textures look bland and uncolourful...
Bu having a nice FPS makes up for it :P
and I have to say, I can now get a pretty ok FPS on F.E.A.R now thanks to you and the textures look the same on it!

many thanks to you, i'm gonna select quality this time when installing those drivers and see how much better it looks and see how down the FPS goes, so thank you :)

snipers are nice, just sucks that a barret (12,7 ammo FFS) cant take down a person at range in 1 shot...
12,7 rounds blow bodyparts to bits for christ sake!

I can't see the point in the unlocked sniper rifle since it can't kill in 1 hit and it is also less accurate than the other one (USA)
Get a new GPU, nobber.
6600GT is the best Pound/performance at the moment.

I think i've found the problem to my FPS problem...
When ever i'm playing battlefield 2, i'm talking on skype to my friend...Trying a benchmark tool with skype on, average FPS was 18, I cut the call and tried it, FPS was 55...
Why does skype do this?
