Unable to get client installed/play the game [Archive]

Hello,

I recently, as of 8/21/05, purchased a trial membership for this game. Having downloaded and installed the game twice this afternoon from FilePlanet, each time receiving file corrupted messages during the install process, I am still unable to access the game itself.

I follow the procedure of doing a full file check, then attempt to connect to the game ... and it tells me I need to insert a CD.

Could you please tell me how to play this game so I can keep the membership and pay for the service? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

check to see if u have a file named "Terrainc" if u do, rename it to "Terraincd"

That was unfortunately one of the files that did not install correctly, so it is not on my HD at all. :(

Ok, tried every download site listed on the client download trial client page ... every download has terrain.pak as a corrupted file and is unable to install it. The launcher continues to ask for a gameCD to be inserted in the cd-drive ... :(

Anyone have a link to a un-corrupted copy of the terrain.pak or the terrain/ directory that I can download? And is there a bypass or any other trick I can use to get the launcher to connect to the game and download the correct files for me?

(I have cancelled my trial membership at this point, so I do not get billed for a service I cannot use. Quite willing to re-sign-up once I can get the game actually installed.)

I know that works for sure, I just downloaded off there and installed, works fine.. almost. I still get annoying bugs but they're system specific. Apparently so few people get them (and none of the devs/mods/gms) that no one fixed them or believes they exist at times. And guess what computer I have? ALIENWARE! They're advertising INGAME yet my alienware doesn't work too well with this game. :(
