The only way I can think of is to do CM missions and then switch over to whatever NC faction you were thinking of joining.
Hours of low level missions, 600000nc. unless TG, then 900000nc and even more missions.

Or, if you know a friendly enemy PPU, you can do certain Pro-NC missions(rats and stuff) and just run like hell.
Pro-NC PPU support, hours of low level missions, 300000nc

Edit: This also follows along with your request of no SL hits. I assume you haven't killed any enemies recently and your Pro-NC sympathies are around 9 or 10.

Its easy, i wrote this tutorial for clannys a while back.

You dont have to be clanned at all, and no SL loss. This takes place in DoY TS sector 7.. use navray if you dont know your way around.

1.)Kill the strippers in front of wargames, there should be 3. But dont kill the dancing strippers inside the glass, you lose SL.

2.)Kill the 20/20 anarchy breed guy by the strippers, then kill the 40/40 fat guy (the one farthest away from the strippers on the right.. you'll lose SL for the lottery ticket guy, and blackjack guy. Talk to em if you dont know which is which)

3.)Go up the stairs on the left side of the room and then kill the 30/30 old PE skinned model guy, and the smugler looking guy standing next to him. Down the hall to the left is a 50/50 chinese guy.

4.)Go up another flight of stairs by the TS hq and kill the stripper.

5.)Go down to the center floor, goto the right side then take a left,right, then go around the glass surrounding the water cleaning place(or whatever it is) run straight til you see a big ramp. Go up it and kill the chinese dude.

6.) if you can pull off killing the 90/90 guards, go for it..

Thats 12 NPCs you can kill

you know SL wouldnt be a huge deal just get a "friend" that likes to "die" "alot". makes things much happier, or head on out and do some allied noob killing (and its fun too!)

On topic: Hopefully the missions to switch your city should be implemented at some point, would be nice to have an easier method than becoming a criminal (just because you change your policital stance shouldn't mean you lose SL, which is usually associated with murder).

I think if you ask, most PPUs would help escort someone. I'll do it if its for inside DoY, I'd offer to do it in NC, but then the guards (and everyone nearby for that matter) would attack me.

I think Noone important had the right idea about killing NPCs.

There are certain ones who belong to a DoY Faction, but you don't lose SL for killing them. If your rank is appropriate, you even get a reward ;)

There's a funny hurler looking guy in DoY sector 6 on the 2nd (?) floor. He's Black Dragon and 80/80*** so you can kill several birds with one stone there: money, xp, symp... and as the DoY guards below will aggro on you.... the thrill of the chase :)

Or then again, you can always make your way to the strange outbuilding in A-08 and talk to Agent Foster...

I was under impression said missions didn't work. If they do, I may have to make one of my chars swap to DoY and back just to do the missions.

I was thinking of a specific person. He pretty much plays all his alts like a business. He only works for money.

But, you're right, lots of guys will do it for free. Myself included.

Hey Trin, :) I just started my characters up again to. Although I just went ahead and rerolled Jest, not really wanting to deal with switching sides and figuring I needed to relearn the game anyway. But I'm going to need to move my PPU over to NC some how which will be a bitch of a task I imagine. So let me know how you end up moving your chars over.

Btw which faction are you joining? I'm still heavily leaning towards CA but not totally sure yet.
Jest the best way to do it is go tag the city GR's first, then you can get somone to make a noob anti char and you can symp kill him over and over till your at 62. Then you can rep to what ever HQ you want to join and do it there and buy some 150 res missions and get your SL down (90 should be enough). This will only work untill Lupus "fixes" the res missions (at which point I will proly not play any more). This is the fastest way.

you know how easy it isto get your SL up with simple monster killing missions?

i KOS any citymerc who isnt a friend of mine so my SL is almost always low, and it only takes a few aggy missions to go from very low SL (around -16) to positive, i cant tell you the exact amount but i remember the last mission i did took me from -6 to +4, so its not that bad

lol i have plenty of fun pking at crp or MB (away from the zoneline anyway) and generally enjoy leveling my characters also (most of my non PE chars are like 95 in primary stat and 85-90 in secondary)

Agreed. If there are 500+ people on all servers at all times I don't give a shit about killing allies. It's just now that there is almost no one playing it is very hard to find any fights.

It sounds like we have a vicious circle here... you ally kill because "almost no-one playing", and previous leaving threads have listed their displeasure with ally killing as one of their reasons for leaving. You know what they say: if you ain't part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

As for the people whining about the reduction in availability of research missions, you forget what had to be done in NC1. There were no TL150 BPs back then. The quickest way of gaining SL was aggies or cyclops. If you have less than 150 base research, then nothing has changed since then.

Then again, you could always take your researcher out to ally kill if you want....

Populations aren't high enough to find people hanging around in city zones, in DoY, in random Wasteland zones or to get an OP fight every night. That makes the game very boring when you play the game for PvP.

Maybe it's just because I'm pro-city that I can find a fight whenever I need/want it, and even more often than that. O_o

i dont know where the secret spot is, but im often running through the NC, MB, CRP, PP, etc etc and often run into NO ONE but le runners, even during peak hours sometimes..

My PE is Crahn, and I just want to go cityside.. havnet really thought about what faction. Was thinking maybe BT... but I havent been CA in years. NC isnt even reinstalled yet, Ill let you know when it is.
