UK ISPs

Right, I'm going back to uni in september and it has been down to me to get the tinternet sorted.

We don't yet have the phoneline activated, so I have been eyeing Bulldog 8meg.
Anyone have any experience with them? Or an better advice?

Anyway speed is good 8MB yummy but ping is important too and with my BTinternet connection I get around 50-70 ping in neocron constant. In some games of quake 3 I get a ping of 10 - 30 eveonline is the same as neocron 50- -70 ping. Ping is what matters not speed but if you have others using the connection speed will matter too.

virgin net is the only isp that makes the game not lag of fre :angel: but are u willing to pay alot for such little speed,-= EDIT =-on the plus side there is no contract, you can cansle strait away, no UR WITH US FOR 12MONTHS WETHER U LIKE US OR NOT

Recommend you don't go with Bulldog, judging from the frequency of stories such as http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/07/26/ofcom_bulldog/ on The Register.

I want something higher than 2 meg, that just isn't enough for what I need.
The problem being is that BY 4 meg is 50 a month, while BD 8 meg is 41 >_<.
