On logging in to Battlefield 2

I was just wondering does anyone else have the situation that when you log into Battlefield 2 it always then connects you to a random server rather than take you to the main menu?

Any ideas how to stop it?

ITs because you press " play now ", read the manual and you find out :D

I never pressed play now, but i did find that there was a "+PlayNow 1" command added to the BF2 shortcut. Removing that solved the problem.

and even then it takes ages to login lol

OK people help me out here, i didnt install the 1.01 patch cause it was bugged ... is it worth now to go to the 1.02 patch, im still at the basic version but it seems servers are getting less common, are there enough servers at the 1.02 patch atm ?

i allready had 1.02 installed but trew it of the PC cause there where practically no servers (but i think it was the first day orso the patch came out so not everyone updated yet :/ ), i presume this is better now allready ?

edit: ow and skusty is youre ingame name also skusty with somekind of smiley behind it ? cause then i met you ingame in BF2 :)
