A week ago today from a lovly chicken and mushroom pot noodle this appeared!

No, Pot noodles are the equivelant of what comes out of some american vending machines, the styrofoam cups of noodle/seasoning mix that you put extremely hot water in. It's an instant meal. Ramen is an actual dish of noodles that originated from Japan, its not as much of an instant meal as it is a full meal. Ramen may be used on the instant soup bowls too, but its not really ramen...

You can get cup ramen though, which is pretty much exactly the same at pot noodle.
