Anyone know a good [and free] way of converting bitmaps to jpegs en masse? I have over 4 gig of nc screenies, and kinda want to shrink that a bit.

Nothing beats imagemagick, but you want to have a look at

I know that Paintshop Pro does batch conversions and has done for the last few versions now...

I think there up to version 8 now. Could you get PSP 5 now for free from somewhere?

And yes, i used it to archive all by screenies :)

COnvert a pic from BMP to JPG? You can do that in paint o_O

He's after batch conversion: taking a thousand or so bitmaps and converting them all to .jpg using a single command (or at most a few clicks) without doing each one seperately.
