I seen some good movies of PvP floating around and I Just wondered if there is a quick and easy way to record a movie??

I'm NO expert when it comes to this so if there isn't thats cool. Don't get all technical on me :p

I just wanted to try put my own movie together from OP fights etc. :)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Windows Movie Maker, for an absolute newbie.

Or Adobe Premier Pro, if you want to go the whole hog.
It isn't really difficult, I recommend trying it :)

Just import your avi (add with Fraps) and add a soundtrack, then export it as a nice compressed movie.

As for FPS, use a nice low resolution, like 800x600, and close all unessacary applications.

is it a bad idea to make movies when your max FPS without fraps running is 30 and in wastes 15 ? :p

That is about what I get when recording. Well maybe a little better (like 20 in wasteland)

yeah mine is without, wish i could even maintain 15 fps anywhere ;) my pc's not too bad really im hoping its just my extremely shoddy gfx card so hopefully if I pickup a new one sometime (working at BK barely pays my rent ;)) i can greatly improve it *i hope* i dont even do that badly ;)

i thought 2ghz and 512'd be enough for NC ? for some reason also i get no fps increase 800x600 vs 1280x960

get another 512 RAM first.

then look into a new processor.

I have a 3.0 (OC to 3.6), 1.5 gigs of ram, 9800xt, asus p4c800-e deluxe, 2x 160 SATA HD's (NC is runing at 1024x768) and I never cap my frames.

yeah im soon going to add ram and upgrade the gfxcard but i dont see how NC is so intensive.. doom3 runs smoother for me, and this is with the gfx at lowest possible in NC..

Recomend AVID if you wanna go the whole hog - used to use prem pro - but was BLOWN AWAY by AVID - kicks arse.

contrary to belief, movie maker is really good for newbies. it's not as advanced, BUT it's very very user friendly. it's meant for people like you. you don't deal with post movie production, you just want to edit your flicks a bit. it's good for starting with because it'll make stuff like effects and compression self-explenationary. after that I completly suggest moving to adobe premiere, it's the top product on the market... but some things could be really confusing and discouraging if you start off to work with it.

Well yeah - adobe is top - or at least one of the top - but like I said - a lot of the emphasis these days is on the AVID suite... What I do suggest is learn ONE - not BOTH - it'll peck yer head!

With current games today (which includes Neocron), games will be boosted by 400% with a difference between 256 Megabytes of ram, and 512 Megabytes of Ram, and a 200% Difference between 512 and 1024 (1 gig). However, after that point, most games will not be boosted by 150% until the Memory amount reaches much higher amounts, between 3 and 4 gigabytes of RAM. After 1 gigabyte of ram has been achieved, the processor speed is the main priority of the upgrader because the RAM now can hold anything the processor can put out. Unfortunately, after 2 gigs of RAM, no processor is on the market that is high enough that could over-output 2 gigabytes of ram, unless the ram is of poor quality.

you got decent ram yeah? not pc world own brand pc2200 un ECC RAM? :p

having lots of slow acces RAM will make barely any / no difference.

barring that, i would look at the processor then.
