I dont usually bitch about stuff but I feel in this instance I should. Its a bug ushered on everyones lips.....literally.

Its the Private Eye lip boner bug. Its been around since beta and still no fix. Its a bug thats really annoying and spoils the game. Seriously folks if you were in a dark suspicious cyber punk world where death awaits you round every corner, wouldn't you feel the mood was destroyed when a guy with a huge bottom lip tries to shoot you?

Why hasn't it been fixed just why? Or is is part of the story line that Proto Pharma has put lip viagra in peoples drinking water.

I was in a shop with this female PE (they dont get lip boners  ) and I was trying to roleplay but she kept laughing because my lip shot out and made me look rediculous  All the time she laughed and called me Pinocchio (Hes infamous for having a long nose isn't he not a lip? either way my lip boner was so bad it confused her).

Oh also another glitch is if a Tank decides to go bald (perfectly acceptable) they will be met with another bug. Some of the skins make the tank have a dent/hole in their head (insert Nine Inch Nails reference).

So please lets get these bugs fixed for all us vain people out there who dont want to hide pointy lips and dented heads by Power Armor and show the world our faces.

The first time I noticed this bug, I thought it was very funny: running around like some sort of birdman. But now I think it should be solved: the funny side has gone once you've seen it.

It's as bad as the invisible torso thing which i'm told is a DX7 rendering bug on the 2nd jacket model. Hopefully the forthcoming Rokkwear should fix this, but i think KK should address the cause rather than just fudge a workaround.

There's a tank hairstyle which is meant to be a "flat top" style, but the tank's head pokes out above it so he looks like a medieval monk with the bald patch :wtf:

But this big lip thing is most worrying.... after all this time, it just looks so unprofessional. Will Rokkwear allow facelifts too?

A new peron comes into the game as is greeted by lip boners....

Will they stay? Well maybe for comical value but it just looks buggy.

It would make alot of people happy to have this fixed. A happy customer is a productive customer. One less bug to bitch about and people may stay longer :)

I'm not sure there are, and I don't play private eyes so this doesn't affect me personally. But some of you (and for that matter, I get the sense this includes a lot of people at Reakktor) underestimate how important a good-looking avatar is to people who play massively multiplayer online games. One of the ways in which every game out there except Anarchy Online beat up this game on the playground and take away its lunch money is that all of them but AO have a heck of a lot better looking player character avatars, and even in AO at least there are more clothing and visible armor options. So the last thing on earth this game needs is big gaping bugs in character appearance.

you're right.

i'm sure a noob won't mind fataling and syncing 10 times over before finally getting out to MC5 to find it empty of players and mobs... but if they see a big lip they will quit instantly

No! They won't!

I had an msn chat with a guy who actually gave NC2 a try (found out by chance) and guess what he noticed straight away that put him off. Correct, the Lip Boner...

However, other issues should really take priority..

It's funny how you learn to live with these bugs and don't even notice them after a while.

My gf logged onto my pe to check it out last week, and the first thing she said while standing at the ca hq door was: "Why doesn't that guy have a body?"
I just replied:"That's another bug."

She looked at me puzled, waiting for more explanation. I didn't even bother explaining the current state of the game, because she would ask me why i pay for four accounts.

Yeah thats true, I see invisible body, lip bug, and also the way people's hair and guns get left behind when they move (almost like in Scooby Do but not funny), all the time but ignore it for the most part.

Oh, and don't worry about Rokwear fixing these bugs, worry about the NEW bugs Rokwear will introduce 8|

I can remember when I asked my friend to try out the Trial of NC2, he really enjoyed it but guess what the first thing he said was when he made his character?
"Oh dear! that look's rediculous, why's my lip sticking out like that? it look's rediculous"

Nuff.
