hi,

i just made a second account and have been running into trouble trying to run two instances of neocron at once.

as i know a few of you have tried this before, i was wondering how you set this up.

thanks,

You need to do this:
1. Start Neocron
2. Alt+tab out of Neocron
3. Edit neocron.ini file LOCALPORT=something else
4. Start Neocron again

This should let you start 2 or more instances on 1 computer.
Dont know if you still get a warning about starting the second instance, but it is only a warning if it is still there.

You need a different LOCALPORT for each instance, and that should be it.

they made use of this marvelous function (http://forum.neocron.com/search.php?), sometimes, also refered to as "Forum Search"

could it be assumed you will use twice the ammount of computing power to run both? I would guess it would also cut your bandwith down.

Er...

Let's just say "don't PVP on a dual-client setup."

Also you can just copy your NC2 folder and paste it with a diffrent name and change the local port on that install.

click "configuration" on the launcher to change the local port the easy way :p
