I just downloaded the trial client last night and installed today and it doesn't want to seem to show me the server list.

I've been trying to fix it all day to no success. = /

I've attached a picture of how the updater looks.

Check the File ...\Ini\Updater.ini

SERVERIP=62.140.29.50
PORT=8020
PATCHPREFIX=patches\cp
EXE=Client.exe
GAMESERVERIP=62.140.29.50
HOMEURL=http://launcher.neocron.com/
FTPSERVER=ftp.neocron.com
TESTPATCHDIR=/nc2testserver
RETAILPATCHDIR=/nc2retail
ISRETAILVERSION=1
USELOCALPORT=0
LOCALPORT=0

should work then.
try it.
if it doesn`t work... delete updater.ini and run Client.exe>Configuration>Check File Integrity

This one had the same Problem (http://forum.neocron.com/showthread.php?t=125172)

in the program's folder within program files folder under windows, there is the client.exe program. Run this by double clicking it. If .ini is as suggested then it should work. and run a filecheck

Whenever I try to edit it, the IP changes to "127.00.00.00" or something like that.

Also, when I deleted the update.ini, and ran filecheck it came back with blanks next to the commands.

I had the same problem few month ago, and I overwrote my updater.ini with the one from a clanmate to fix it (I just copied his updater.ini into my .ini folder).

it's the updater.ini you need to edit. Be sure you are not RUNNING neocron at the time.

Make sure that the file is not read-only, either.

After that, copy and paste the updater.ini text from this thread (fixed one) into your file, save, then run neocron again.

Yeah, I've been out of Neocron when I do update the ini file.

I also downloaded the client again and it's been doing the same thing.

It's probably something on my computer, but I don't know what. My friend downloaded the client too, and it works fine for him.

Can you right click on the page and look on the html source ?

There should be a line like "<!-- SERVERLIST [...] -->".

Some filters (AntiSpam/Virus etc) might strip comment-tags like this. If it is not there for you, try to identify the filter which prevents Neocron from identifying the available login servers.

Had that problem at one time in the NC2 Open Beta, but i cant seem to remember if it was my Firewall or just an IE-SecuritySetting.

Here's what it looks like when I view the source.

<div id=backdrop><img src="img/logobar.jpg"></div>
<!-- SERVERLIST
1 062.140.029.050 Neocron2 Server
-->

Ok then we have excluded this from the possibilities ;)

Next thing i'd do is to mail tech@neocron.com and ask them for help.

Okay, will do. If anyone else has any ideas please try to keep them coming. XD
