well, I'm about ready to start slitting throats here.

Looked at error log.

Says I'm not connecting to the right remote address. I looked at the port thingie in the neocron.ini ... says it's set to port 20999?

Well i recognise the page its kk's main company page. Why the heck the launcher would default to that page is beyond me. As for not been able to play, try over riding the launcher and fire up client.exe manualy from the neocron2 directory

tried that. manually executing client.exe just makes it go to black, then do nothing.

edit - got it to go to login screen. Either trying resume or enter gets the login screen to say "failed to connect to server"

I think one of the neocron files has gotten the IP address that client.exe is supposed to connect to corrupted.

Any advice on how to change it back properly? DO NOT SAY REINSTALL. I don't want to run filechecker again and wait for 36 hours for all the damn files to fix themselves.

You dont seem to have a Server selected in that screenshot.

Looks like one of your main ini files may be up the duff again
you know the routine check neocron.ini see if anything looks out of place

This line should be in there
NETBASEIP = "62.140.29.50:7000"

on top of that look in the neocron2/ini diretory at updater.ini file

should be this

SERVERIP=62.140.29.50
PORT=8020
PATCHPREFIX=patches\cp
EXE=Client.exe
GAMESERVERIP=62.140.29.50
HOMEURL=http://launcher.neocron.com/
FTPSERVER=ftp.neocron.com
TESTPATCHDIR=/nc2testserver
RETAILPATCHDIR=/nc2retail
ISRETAILVERSION=1
USELOCALPORT=0
LOCALPORT=8952

In the ini folder look for the updater.ini file

Mine reads as follows:

SERVERIP=62.140.29.50
PORT=8020
PATCHPREFIX=patches\cp
EXE=Client.exe
GAMESERVERIP=62.140.29.50
HOMEURL=http://launcher.neocron.com/
FTPSERVER=ftp.neocron.com
TESTPATCHDIR=/nc2testserver
RETAILPATCHDIR=/nc2retail
ISRETAILVERSION=1
USELOCALPORT=1
LOCALPORT=21248

I'll copy and change to that. updater.ini definitely looks different than that.. has ip set to 170.0.0.0 or something. oh, wait.. it's the patch prefix. It's totally fuxked. fixing it...
