So has anyone tried UKOnline Broadband?
Theres like adverts all over the place and with NTL limiting bandwidth at the end of the month have to find a new provider.
I spoke to UKonline and they said they do block some ports but nothin that affects filesharing progs or anytin else and they have like unlimited bandwidth (technically 500gb a month which is enough Id say). Just curious on there service.
Oh just found this about there port blocking:
"Yes. We run port-blocking on all of our broadband services in order to maintain quality of service for all of our customers, so you will not be able to run a mail or web server. We block ports 25, 80, 8080 and 3128."

as long as its via phone line not cable... ill prolly check them out later
if they dont limit download then thems some nice prices too.
stupid locator works off telephones so it wont tell me if i am in area because of cable  foolish ukonline.
edit: nvm checked there access areas instead.
but still good price for unlimited download (or very high limit)

I looked at their site, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Especially if you have more than one comp.

I never understood this rule. Surely if you wanted to run a web or mail server, you'd just change the ports...?
