View Full Version : PC Cleanup
OK, im going to i23, and was cleaning up my PC, defragging, whathaveyou
and i tried to run Disk Cleaner under Win2k (the inbuilt one), and it just crashes, it gets stuck while it scans the drive!
are there any decent 3rd party drive cleaning software that you can recommend?
ta everyone
Here's a couple of links to a defrag utility and a disk cleaner utility:
(They both have free trials)
System Mechanic (http://www.iolo.com/sm/5/index.cfm)
O&O defrag (http://www.oo-software.com/en/products/oodefrag/pro.html)
I use the O&O Defrag, and the System Mechanic 5 has a memory defrag utility, that I found usefull....
And here's a site I ran across, that has alot of freeware, shareware and demos:

Norton is the root of all evil.
If you want it clean, clean it yourself. Regedit, sysedit, msconfig and all those lot are NOT as dangerous as people make them out to be
CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/)!
Hey Xeno, that's quite a nifty little app... CCleaner > Norton Anything :D

CCleaner kicks the ass off any cleaning program out there. Simple, looks good, cleans the shit up. :)
I've been using it for about... 3 months now? I love it.
