I was thinking, and have 2 simple nice not imbalancing idea's..

1) I think hacknet tools should be shown on your arm if you have one in your quickbelt

2) binoculars, yes even with the 500 meter clipping i think we should have binoulars ingame, so we can spy on people :)

wot you guys think ?

i really want the binoculars ingame, it wouldn't be that hard to implement, it would just be a new model with a zoom option, that's it.. kinda like a SH without the firing mode :angel:

I voted for both but I dont know why. I dont need either of them. I use rifles with scopes. And I dont hack, but then again I might just carry one to look cool. Like my tanks Ion Crossbow.

Ya but itd be cooler if your belt actually showed what you have like flashlight is on your waist . sta booster a little booster attached to your belt on your waist. for all the spells you have just ahve one spell shaped thingy on your belt

agree about the scopes m8 but what about monks and melee tanks??
i get the idea that either class would be seen with bino's unless there were unsure about duelling someone they seen in the distance :lol:

but then again who wants to mod a cs with a scope???

i think it wouldn't hurt to implement them, gives the spy another role to play

No i think we should just be able to fly so we can fly in see whats up and fly away if we dont like it, and invinciable mode too. So wed be like a fly that cant be squished, only 100000000000 times more annoying....
Im not sure what the point of this was.... Id mode a Rav with a scope.. back on topic now

aye not bad modding a rav with one, they got nice range.
i remember snot eye trying to pick me off with one at j 2

You have no idea how many times I've been scouting for a target while sniping,
and had to have my Healing Light with scope out to do it effectively, which
also gives away my location with the swirly...

I'd love some binoculars

I would love to see binoculars in game. If you have a scope on a weapon or binoculars out (and zoomed) then it should up the view distance by 500 (then you would have 2x the distance as normal).

Yeah, I can see people on the clipping plain with my Holy Heal, hit people on the other side of the zone with my Judge and whilst I am at it, my poke tool allows me to see things flying at max altitude.

create the wire mesh models.
texture them
code them ingame
alter player code to have them work
run around in circles screaming cause u cant find a bracket that is fecking up ur compile

well if they want me to model it, well that shouldnt be a problem, i've got 3d modelling experience.

although i have programming skills, i don't think i should be altering code and decompiling stuff.

i'd just like to know if the KK peeps would consider adding this :)

If you can produce some meshs and textures for it, I bet they are more likely to implement it as they don't have to do all the work. Shame the modifications forums aren't accessable, there was details on there about the poly count of models and the format needed etc.

And stay well away from altering code or decompiling anything NC related, or you won't even be able to see your works if they do implement it.

Well i'll send a mail to the guys at reakktor this week, ask 'em to see if i make a model for it and texture it, if they'll add it. (and ask 'em what the specs should be offcourse)

I thought the science behind the stealth tool that it allowed light to pass through the users body due to the use of a special chemical. If I am correct, then your idea wouldn't work.

well, for one, there's refraction/diffraction. And for another, level 1 to 3 stealthtools aren't 100% effective invisibility.

if you wanna get all sciency then make the spies weapons / clothes float... since the chem's injected into the spies body wont effect them.

thats a nice idea for a new map lol, 2 weeks ago i worked 5 hours on a map that looked like a swampcave .. it started to look real nice, yust had to make some decent textures but euh, i accidentally deleted the map lol, if i hadnt count to 100 first i would of trown my computer out of the window :P

I know. Same as in Sci Fi films when they turn on the "uber Universal Translator" that whatever is talking conveniently mouths the English words along with the translation, rather than mouthing the original words with the translation overlayed which would make more sense.

It would make more sense if Spies had stealth suits, rather than gay wrist watches.

When I imagine a sniper at an OP, I imagine
He moves into position, lays flat down, has his scope up, lines up a target, takes his time ... watches, and understand the targets movement and when he feels his in the zone, wham head shot, dead.

When I played Battlefield 1942 , especially a few of the maps, you pop your head out and wham, you are dead with a head shot. But if it was not accurate then you take some pain.

I am sure my idea here is gonna be flammed a little but

Make rifle - sniper specialists, allow models to lay down. When he lays down his target box reduces to small box. Introduce different type cammo armour, so he can be in a dessert and hard to spot, or in the swamps and hard to spot.

Once he takes a shot, he cannot shoot, or stand for 25 seconds. But with the execption of ppu has the ability for a head shot kill (has to be darn accurate) .... alos cannot stealth ... so if he does get it right he is a hero, he misses he will prbably die ???

With that comment.. it reminds I WANT FREAKING BINOs. I remember a couple of times where i see some one off in the distance but can get a lock, so i move in closer but the time i get close enough to see who it is, they see me and attack....
