Yesterday I decided to check again if the Drone Run was fixed - the spot where the droner flies his drone through this tube to the racetrack proper.
I tested several types - PLC1000, ParticleBeam20, Ion Drone, GAL-1000.... They all failed to get through the tube - just bounced uselessly on the mouth of the tube.
finally I decided to spend 3k on a store-bought LongRange Scout Drone.
THIS got through the damn tube. Finally I get to start flying around on the track, get a little practice in. A couple minutes along, things are ok, I'm bouncing around on the damn track, blinded by the lights... and guess what... somehow this scout drone bounces right on a column on the corner of the track - it gets stuck.. I try to wriggle the drone, but it bounces OUT of the racetrack proper... now I'm stuck on that walkway between the spectator stands and the drone track. And I can't get the damn drone back to retrieve.. so that's 3k wasted.
Apparently, there's still some glitches to work on in the track -

- enlarge the tube that leads from droner platform to drone track
- Work on the clipping of the corner columns.
