Anyone up for buying their old server? supports 10,000 connections at any given time, never used (since they closed it down)

Sad to see another MMO die. It almost makes you respect KK just for lasting this long.
Makes you wonder what it must be like for the people that worked to get something like that all the way to late beta and then have it terminated. :(
£60k for those servers is madness, I assume they'll end up going for many times that much. If not I'd buy them.

Tho if you look at all the numbers that been playing beta you would have thought the game was doing pretty good..
Our Wish 2.0 Beta client is now #1 on Fileplanet's "What's Hot?" list for more than two weeks, with over 45,000 downloads! Meanwhile, Beta 2.0 is in full progress, with a total of 68,000 players signed up, and 30,000 player accounts activated within the first three days.
A well din't hear of the game before i readed this post tho :p gues we'll never know what happend to them.. but yea kk / nc are lasting for pretty long already between all huge company's and huge games.
Funny thing is they gave like an hour warning.. o_O As if they pre-planned to cancel and sell the server :confused: Eh well went on a wish refugee camp, aload of people are trying to get the sourcecode for the game :p I tried the game.. logged in, ran around on my own for 10 mins.. spoke to some NPC's and logged out!

Normal mains should be fine but you won't much like the lecy bill.
As for buying a house/flat, you wouldn't get a roof-less hovel for that round our way. If you had a business that could utilise it you could easily make double your money back in a few months. Of course you'd need to be an ISP and be happy to use un-warrantied equipment....

Since NC is still cpu dependant a LOT, i wonder.....

88 blades, each with 2*2.8GHz Xeon, so if the OS supported it, and the software supported it, a theoretical speed of almost 1/2 a THz :o

Odds are KK use a similar setup anyhow, cept they have several racks instead of just the one.
