I am considering pulling down the videos section of the website.

It's averaging 70Gb a month in traffic. If it weren't for the videos, the overall data traffic would be nominal. If someone want to host the videos or something, please do it by the end of the week as I will make my decision by tomorrow. There are 1.5gb of videos on the site atm.

Not to flame or anything but wouldn't posting on FN's behalf be against forum rules? He did infact make a leaving thread and has this been banned since (assuming Nid or whomever DOES ban people who make leaving threads). I only mention it cause it was one of the more out-there rules in the forum rules I noticed when reading up on the previous FOMK rulings.

He wasnt banned as a punishment.. this is the 5th or so time ive relayed a message from FN and yet no sign of trouble, he may left yes, but his account wasnt revoked due to mal behaviour ;)

Accounts arnt 'banned' as such when a user posts a leaving thread, there just deactivated then when the player come back the thing in the forums reactivates the account to postage......i think O_o

EDIT: Doh started posting did something else came back to it and somone has replied :p

Keyword, revoked. I'd think with his posting rights gone, admins wouldn't shine to keen on this. I'm sure Nidd or Tyr will make the appropriate call on this one.

at least 25% of the subscribers are people who left earlier and are now again helping to pay KK's bills, afaik only a select few are denied posting rights again

Can't say I can.

I grow tired of asking honest legit questions that some may percieve as hostile but yet their just questions or concerns and for my troubles? Some random guy decides to open his mouth and flame. I admit I've done my share of flaming but I tone my shit down most of the time and most of the time its not really aganist a player more-so a displeasure with KK.

He coudl show the same courtsey. But he didnt. People wonder why server pops are so low, heres just another reason why.

If someoen left of their own accord (ie: not banned) then there's nothing wrong with someone passing on a message, especially this one which I take as :

"Hi, I host all these vids for everyone to enjoy and pay for it out of my own pocket but things are getting a little tight at the moment. I'd appreciate any help. thanks"

If you don't agree with my call on this Dr. Strange then feel free to take it up with nid/odin

Gotterdammerung is exactly correct - people who have left are not banned, and the rule only applies to posting on behalf of banned users. -FN- was a very well respected member of our community and we were all sad to see him leave. I have no problem with this request, after all, those movies benefit everyone.

Was simply asking if this was aganist rules or not. A simple "no" would have done so.

And you could of simply reported this to mod which you already proved you can do fine in a PM instead of picking on Asc who was asked by FN who has done a fine service to this community.

All the files at synergyxr are now up on ed2k, for those who use that.

Bandwidth is throttled, since it's always on (and connection is used for other things), but some others might pick it up as well.

I think it's better to share this files unzipped because:
- everyone who has this files can share them
- most ppl keep them in uzipped, ready to watch form
- even if we'd all agree to zip our files, it's doubtfull we'd get bitwise identical copies.

I'm just stating the facts. You reported the post, I checked the thread and disagreed with your assertion that this thread broke the rules. That would have been the end of it if you had not then gone on to publicly raise your concerns on the thread.

Anyway, this is all off-topic and unnecessary. There is no ill-will toward you for raising what you thought was a valid point. It's not a problem so let's move on.
