So there I was installing Solaris and I found myself reading an old copy of Computer Shopper (Only £2.25! with 2 free disks! 1.44mb :p).

Front page "the fastest pentiums on the planet have arrived, but are they worth it?" of course they mean the 333mhz P2.

Looking through we find.. Dell, check these stats...

Intel Pentium II 333MHz
Intel 440LX AGPset (remember AGP was new back then)
64MB High Performance SDRAM
512k internal cache
8.4GB ATA-33 Hard Drive
STB Velocity nVidia AGP with 4MB SGRAM
19 inch monitor
3 PCI 1 ISA 1 PCI/ISA Shared 1 AGP slot
AWE64 Sound Card
DVD-ROM & Decoder Card - they did it in bold :p
Microsoft Windows 95!

All for the sum of £2,031.58 (or at that time about $4,000)

Memory from Dabs?

168pin SDRAM 3.3v = £276.12 for 128MB or £112.80 for 64MB
Intel Pentium II 333? ££618.87!!!
Videocard? Of course would only be a err 8MB ATI All In Wonder? 230mhz ramdac for the sum of... £233

Isnt it amazing, back then you hated to spend over £1,000 these days, you try to spend as much as you can :p
