I've been doing some research and information suggested FFDshow would resolve the problems, or Theora, neither of which have.

Now, before I end up installing every codec and media player in the universe on my PC - does anyone know how to make OGMs play?

They're derived originally from the OGG format, and are pretty exclusive in their codec.

I don't know which is better, this or other codecs but atm I'm trying to get .OGMs to play, since a few groups have decided they definately want to use this....

Eventually did...

Seems the file was slightly corrupt, but VLC could play it through that.

VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/) is your friend, according to these features. (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html)
