How hard is it to hack a persons belt if the person had 100 SL?

Also, does SL cap at 100?

Acutally it's not really _that_ hard... It should be alot harder imo, but if you
got 120 hack, with buffs and drugs and what not, you should be just fine.

I've lost lots of SL 100 belts, they are not that hard to hack i'm afraid.
And that's even before hacknet was introduced and pure hacker chars came along.

I think hacking belts should be something like this...

Char SL + combat rank = amount of hack required

(sl = 100) + (60/??) = 160 hack

OR

char sl + dropped item lvl = amount of hack

(sl = 100) + (item lvl = 30) = 130 hack

Maybe, although slightly modified, so that it takes say 150 hack to hack the
best belts, because, SL (100) + Item TL (115) = 215 Hack... A bit over the
top imo.

Maybe make it so that 100 SL is 150 Hack, then the items TL is put into the
calculations, so that it ranges from +0-30 depending on the TL... For example
a 100 SL belt containing a TL115 item would take 180 in hack skill, while a
simple booster or something will need 150 only.

If you are into pvp, then the likely hood of you having sl +100 is very low, and you would not really find to many tradeskillers with sl +100 out fighting.

one of my chars has sl +68 and the highest weapon I use atm is a libby.

(sl = 68) + (tl = 91) = hack +159

I think maybe +159 is not asking to much for a prize such as that. Besides, I know I am fed up hacking a belt over and over again just to get a med pack or a psi booster.

With so many ppl having hack these days, I am sure either way will not be to much of a problem.

my tradeskilelrs fights constantly... and has 100sl and stealth :D
