Well, after searching around for the other thread i cant find it :(.. So I figured I'd show my modded case, didnt really cost much for it all so Im pretty happy, go ahead an post your babies :p

BTW my older computer has the exact same case as you. Exept i have this light that changes color instead of a little display thing. Thinking about switching my case for it becouse its such a great case design. If only it had a handle.

Yeah I originally had the A+ X-clio case.. but it came at a hugh 16 kg after adding everything with it, i port my pc to m8's for lans etc.. so it just wasnt practical. Anyways im glad i got rid of that case and had this one.
It looks pretty cool and i added a lazer LED that shines through the bottom grill, so i sit there with green dots all over me lol.

Wait you think 16Kg is to heavy for a lan? Imagine how it is for me then. My case is made of this shitty dense soft metal and it weighs alot. No idea on the exact number right now though. Not a big deal becouse it has a handle. I can gurantue it weighs more then 16kg though. It came with the so called bargain computer i got where half the components where wrecked and i had indisputable proof they lied to me several times and had to pay for their mistakes by waiting an extra 2 months and shipping peices back costing me a total of 150$ more..... Bastards.

well, some of us have both performance and looks..
you dont need to overclock to get great performance.

Well, strobes? they are Over the top I agree. But having a nice warm glow for what less then £15 for all the mods you cant really complain.

I know all about fans.. Have 120mm, 92mm and two 80mm's going, along with two psu fans. It's all about which brand of fan you buy and how fast they rotate.
This setup makes less noise than the one 80mm superfast "performance" cooler i had on there before. That was just too much to use the computer without headphones.
I know some people combine looks with performance, but too many times i see people buy a cheapo computer, then slap in plexi, and a shitload of lights, and then wonder why their pc won't boot up sometimes :-)

-I always play a spy and i kept trying to look for that obliterator in my inventory as you were shooting me

It IS however the sexiest laptop i've seen and hell, it'll outrun most gaming rigs.

I'll find my camera now, in the mean time I'll say that I quite like your setup ascention. The light from the PC lights the keyboard so you can see that, sometimes I need to glace down and it's annoying when it's all dark :(.

i tired hooking 2 15inch kicker subs out of my truck when i sold it (didnt have enough room for them in my new car), safe to say it all went wrong and didnt work....but that is seriously nice sound set up (if their good makes that is....cant judge a sound system by looks alone lol :p)

from what i understand car speakers have a different impendance from home speakers i.e i think cars are 4 ohms, your house ones 8 ohms.

Yep, i once tried to replace a 15 inch woofer in a pa setup (for amplifying a singer) with a 15" carspeaker, with a higher wattage.
It sucked :-)
PA systems are rated RMS, which is an average wattage or something like it. Car and hifi speakers are rated max power.
So if you have a 150W pa amplifier and speakers they will totaly annihilate the 150w hifi system you have.
Most Hifi and pa systems are rated at 8ohm, and car systems at 4ohm, but you can play with that by putting them in serial or paralel connections to get two 8ohms to go as 4ohm or two 4 ohms to go as 8ohm.
You can run 8 ohm amps with 4ohm speakers, with the risk of burning your circuits :-)
you can get homespeakers at 4 ohm aswell..

Cool, I have the Toshiba Satellite version, same cpu and vid card and TV tuner.
Yeah the 5700fx go is very decent. I was surprised how good games looked and ran.
BTW, they call these beasts desktop replacements, not laptops. ;)
I have 3 fans on the bottom sucking air in for the cpu, video and memory, so it's not really meant to be used as a traditional laptop, oh and the battery life is like an hour. :lol:

Soon to be expanded with another 6600GT and some kind of HD, prolly
a Raptor 76GB for games & such and a 200GB storage HD.
Unfortunately it's probably going to take about a month untill I receive all the

That's a nice setup man, I was thinking of going with the water cooling also, but you're getting the same temps I am at full load.
I'm running a 2500 Barton at 1.85V with a $50 copper heatsink and it never goes over 50ºC at full load.

What did you sya??? Silence??? i'm not sure i heard you right, ive been sitting at my jetengine, i mean computer too long :-)
It's allright if you pick silent fans. The only noisemaker in my pc-room is my server, with the standard fans on it.
If my computer where silent it wouldent matter. I have a 24 port switch for lans and its realy noisy. Then i have 2 other computers that are always on right beside mine. That and my volcano 11 has its fan controller wire pulled out, so its always running on max. My case is not somthing im realy proud of. Its made of some ultra heavy metal that is so soft, it shouldent be called a metal. I would look for a pic somewhere, but its so shitty i dont think i can find pics.
Its black and silver with a side window with a fan in the middle. The fan is blue, and i have a exaust fan at the back. It glows red and blue, lighting up my red video card nicely. My cables would be great, if i could ever find some frigging electrical tape to wrap them in.
Actualy ya i bet the metal my case is made up does have some lead in it. I mean the side warps when i take it off. Most cases metal bends and such, but they return to their original form kind of. Mine dousent. The only thing realy holding my case together are plastic bits and the side window. I bet that window is the strongest part of my whole case.

just asked myself the same question when i saw that lol.. when i din't have this comp yet and din't have this desk.. i had an old p3 1ghz and i had that right next to my bed to :p was cool to msn and chat and stuff out of bed..
but HOW in gods name can you game from out of a bed.. can't move your mouse or anything when laying down imho.. at least i couldn't :p
