Hi there chaps. Further to my previous guide regarding the in-game survival skills I have now the pleasure to produce the one about the forum itself.
Once again, let me say that the comments below do not necessarily represent the entire forum community, but I am convinced that a large proportion of it does fit in to the following categories kinda "spot on".
-) THE OLD SCHOOL
Normally players that have been a part of the community for at least two years. They have done everything in-game and the number of posts below their avatar is of a four-digit calibre. They represent a healthy proportion of players that really love the game as it is, although they patiently wait for bug fixes. They hate killing dwarves n fairies, normally featured in other MMORPGS, and fell in love with the Neocron theme since they watched Bladerunner. Most of them will stay even if a better futuristic cyber-punk game is launched.
Favourite Quote:Please KK bring back the old...(you name it) Nostalgia at its best!
Real Life: Mid-late 20s to early 30s (varies really)
In-game: Capped PPUs
Dislike mostly: The 14-YEAR-OLD (at being immature)
Verdict: Good PvPers who have done their fair share of Pking at some point in their early days but now play PPUs to help others . The backbone of the game who stood by KK throughout bad times.
-) THE P45
The administrative employee of a company who has got unlimited access to the internet and very limited supervision by the line manager. Normally located in the South-East of England.
Favourite Quote: Stop the Pking!
Real Life: Early 20s
In-game: Tradeskiller Spies at first, then pure PPUs
Dislike mostly: The KK HATER (and their own bosses)
Verdict: They want to help. They spend daily 8-10 hours at work and when back home, they chose to level their runners rather than spend their limited time Pking. If you have three hours of game a day before you hit the sack, you obviously don't wanna wait it on SL...
-) THE KK HATER
Individuals who LOMmed for endless hours and finished just before a relevant patch. Some of them even got laughed at by Solicitors when asked if they could sue C2P. Others do not have a fully operating Credit Card or their parents are reluctant using theirs. The unlucky ones woke up one day to find that some of their items were just gone. In general, everybody who realised that the only place to be actually heard while complaining is the Necoron official forum.

In-game: Tanks (Purely PvP setup - Alliances or Factions not applicable here)
Dislike mostly: The KK LOVER (by default)
Verdict: To those who wonder what happened to ******************, he's well, plays Neocron, and regularly starts pro WoW threads.

-) THE IT MANAGER
The one who's always there to help. Simply ask on OOC channel how to adjust your brightness and he'll DM you within 20 secs. As soon as he asks you about your computer hardware, he will oblige to log off and go find that manual.. And he WILL get back to you with it! Not that it matters but the IT Managers normaly spend 99% of their time at TH observing their Chatboxes looking out for the opportunity to display their real qualities "that go beyond the game itself".
Favourite Quote: Either about Graphics Cards or Routers..
Real Life: Early 20s
In-game: PEs. Just because they wanna be different and find that unique setup that makes them.. erm .. unique.
Dislike mostly: THE OLD SCHOOL ( for stealing their thunder)
Verdict: Your PC doesn't work properly? Don't panic; just run Neocron and type your question.. They WILL get back to you sooner than you expect. This method is a lot faster than reading through your search engine's hits. Trust me.
-) THE 14-YEAR-OLD
The easier to spot them in-game, the more difficult to identify them in the forum. You don't need a degree to be capable hiding behind anonymity. Why? Simply because your in-game (re)actions are spontaneous, while in writing you do get time to think or even edit your rants later on if you feel uncomfortable with what you said.

Real Life: 14
In-game: TANK / APU
Dislike mostly: THE 14-YEAR-OLD (direct competition)
Verdict: Make the mistake and associate yourself with them and you'll ensure you don't make many friends for the rest of your neocron days. You may even get the feeling of being a 14 year old yourself if peops assume that you are his alt...

Dislike mostly: THE KK HATER (threatening job security)
Verdict: Everybody think that Forum Mods are the in-forum source of in-game knowledge and try to get some inside info or even a "legally-binding" promise out of them. Extremely patient species with limited sense of humour; Classic Example: "Of course I have fun. I get to edit you".
Well I can't think of anything else right now and therefore will stop here.
