View Full Version : Capped dex on APU?
My APU is cap in all but INT and DEX, int i guess i can get that by hunting eventually but dex. Im not gaining anything in dex, any idea's on how to do that? Didnt have that problem on the PPU it pretty much came with the rest.
epics, and missions are your friends. there is no more friends for monks DEX :mad: :mad: :mad:
my ppu often gained dex while lvling in the graves with a spy in team
though this is obviously a bug it gave me like 100k xp in total
which by itself is not much, but thats about 40% of the total xp needed to cap
as for how to trigger it, no clue, sometimes i got xp, sometimes i didnt
reported it, but well, you know what they do to bugreports :rolleyes:

Put droneimplants in you head. Get a drone boost, and drone. That gives some DEX. Use drugs to get the DEX-levels needed for the implants.
investing in pc or rc doesnt work anymore? you also have the pistol/rifle buffs as well or even droning...

What? you mean pile em up in the archives? and eventually forget about them?
I got my APU and PPU's DEX to max that way. It beats running the same mission again and again, I think :-)

Droning is the shite for Dex building.
What about vehicles? Don't they rely on dex as well? I have a hybrid that i jsut got vhc for, as to build dex. . .
Many great idea's if someone knows for sure what the fastest way would be lemme know :)

Somehow I feel a "keep it ingame" coming from Niddy..
In NC1 I capped my hybrids (then APU) dex with CSTing wp8s and drones. Took perhaps 4-5 hours. Tried the same after the "increased exp for tradeskilling" patch with my ppu but it didnt work nearly as well. So I got bored. Been poking a little bit and gain a whopping whole lvl.. :)

anywayz buffy ill tell u how ff's high ranks capped their dex - building stuff. Back in early nc1 we used to build boosters (capped dex b4 most other stuff) now u can do it a bit faster with weap parts- research em at a lab and build em at a factory. Poking works too.
Constructing drugs/psi boosters works fairly well, use cst3 and a cst glove.
I capped mine my poking/removing/poking/removing advanced nerves 3... which was dull (understatement of the millenium), but effective.

REPAIR
capped my ppu dex in 1 hour (had dex 11), hunting with a tank in my reveller, driving and repairing it.
Oh i also managed to keep the tank alive, earned a good amount of cash and 3 or 4 rare parts :D
i built medipacks non-stop for 2 days when i started NC
i had capped STR and 25 DEX on a 2 day old monk.
this was just before the LoMs got err... "Fixed"
i only recently actually capped my monks dex though.... building psi booster 2's at a factory.
TL 150 ressearch missions @ next. 1300 xp for every mission.
My PPU is at ~ 550k dex xp.

I would say that cst missions would be at the top of the list but here's how I capped my APU's dex:
Put points into implant, remember imp glove, nightspiderspy boost spell and poke yourself repeatedly till you cap dex.
Works amazingly fast and imp skill can be lom'd or left in when you are done - that decision is up to you.
I used a move-on as it is mid/ high level and repairs to perfect when broken.
Have trust worthy repairer available.

other than recycling, constructing and repping of course...
