Based on the new skills guide, it seems INT and BRT affect the price, however that doesn't account for the full 100% of it.
Anyone know what else affects the price?

Dont' think it's FS and SL, as i haven't seen a price decrease as it went up.

Im a bit confused aswell, my barter is 172 and the other day I bought research substance for 3.9k - today it's costing me 4.8k
the only thing that has changed is my SL.

Barter:

Skill Factors involved: 0.03(3%) INT + 0.35(35%) BRT

So, there's 38%. where's the rest? :-)

Nothing else influences it.

If you check the skill list, you will see that most of em dont add up to 100.

Barter changes the price you pay from the original price... the more you have, the more discount. If the original price changes, so does how much you pay, irrespective of your skills.
Now, the original price could be linked to StockX... the better your Faction's stocks, the better your prices are. Just a theory.

I thot it had something to do with the stock aswell, can anyone else comment on this?

Not suming up to 100% does not mean there is smth hidden.
It only means that your total INT and BRT influence price less than INT and RES influence research process.

it means that 11,67 INT lvls do as much to lower the price as one point in barter would do.

The game's many equations do not have to add up to 100%. They're simply modifiers, in the case of the barter equation Int and Barter are really everything that influences price per player. One thign to remember is that SI will lower your int, so if you gr somewhere and then check a shop the prices will be much higher.

The only exception to this is that supposedly faction sellers give members of their faction a small discount, but since they seem to *only* sell to members of their faction, I don't think there's a discount.

Lastly, different shops have different base prices for items. The biggest factor is Quality of the item, then shop type. For example items are more expensive at Crytons then at Yo's.

My 0 BRT monk can buy it for 3.9 k to... If a clan own the op the cost is 3.9 k if not 5 k if you buy them at store 7.9 k or so...

Only INT & BRT have an effect, atleast on the players side. Not all equal 100% as stated in the guide, that doesn't mean theres other influences, it's more or less to show how effective the various influences are and gives a better skill vs skill comparison.

Putting %'s in the skill guide was probably not a good idea. The values are a way of showing the ratio between the way the stats affect different skill.
Eg. MC affects Melee dmg 7 times more than str does.

There is no "rest" it's a skill that offers less gain than others on some strange KK metric.

/edit - guess everyone beat me to that one. Leaving windows idle = bad.
