Ok I do not want to spoil other threads with this
It seems many ppl got really bad FPS with dx9
My friend had same problem and told me about it
I started to check out what the problem could be
Did Check al ldrivers and stuff an nothing seems to work
Until.....
I saw he had via chipset drivers and it is usually said that xp got most drivers.
Well I did give it a shot and installed them
So from 1-5 fps in plaza to 60 and above
I was pleased...
For those who wanna test it out here is the info
And please report if it was a success for you too :)
These are the drivers for win xp
If needed drivers for other check the net or ask and I post them

VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers are suitable for ANY VIA chipset - but they are particularly recommended for KT4## series, P4X4## series and newer, for example:

K7 chipsets: KT400, KT400A, KT600, KT880, KM400, KN400

K8 chipsets: K8T800, K8T800Pro, K8M800

P4 chipsets: P4X400, P4X400A, PT800, PT880, PM800, PM880

I did download and install these - there was a prob tho.

AK77 Pro
Driver 4 IN 1 Driver R4.37V(A) 5/9/2003
1032 KB
# Applies to all models. This driver includes: VIA ATAPI Vendor Support Driver
# AGP VxD Driver
# IRQ Routing Miniport Driver
# VIA INF Driver

Note: Please remove the current version in your system before you upgrade the driver. This version supports the following OS including Win95, 98, 98SE, NT, 2000, ME, and XP etc.

OS Support:Win95, Win98, WinME, WinNT, WinXP

I don't know how to remove the old version.

Anyway, I did it anyway, and didn't get any errors or anything after rebooting, but uhh........yeah.

And I don't have FPS problems. I have problems with freezing and having to manually reboot at desktop as XP loads.

Seems that it is not NC problem but some other drivers.I got another comp
here that got the freezing probs as well.On that one I did test another
soundcard and that did the trick too
To remove old 4 in 1 drivers go to control panel/add remove program and uninstall them from there
