ok i download nc2 and my internet is cable high speed.my memory is 18gb.and my comp is brand new when i go to play me free memory is 4mb can anyone help me plz to solve this problem. :confused:

normal systemboards only take 3.2-4gb ram ...
servers up to 20, right ... but u would also need Win2000Adv Server to allocate all the ram :)

yeah i got 18 gb of local disk space on my hard disk ive got win2000pro im not a comp expert my freind is hes knows everything but hes girlfreind is sick and hes company isis lieing to him him so i dont want to ask him right now

type "dxdiag" without quotes in the run box

wait for it to load

then click on "Save information"

Yup, what he said. If you only have 256MB of RAM then you probably do only have 4MB left after starting NC. You need at least 512MB and preferably 1GB.

Im assuming you mean that you got windows installed on that drive but no windows cd? Am i right? Either way to install more ram you dont have to reinstall windows, if that was your question?

Now if you are gonna buy a new harddrive even though that's not your problem, you dont have to formate it. You simply install the new drive as primary slave.

I'm having a lot of trouble understanding you here, but I think you have a misunderstanding

Hard Drive Space has nothing to do with RAM. RAM (Random Access Memory) are the little sticks of memory that plug into your motherboard. Hard Drives are the big silver or black boxes that connect to your motherboard by cables. The free memory message you see while playing NC refers to RAM, and has nothing to do with your hard drives at all.

What I *THINK* you're asking here can be answered with a no - you can't simply connect a new drive and double the ram that way - they're two different things. That question would be like "can I get new tyres and double the size of my engine" - kind of a non-sensical question.

The more RAM you have in your system, the more RAM will be free when the program runs. 256 is not enough RAM to run anything properly with XP. Go out, buy some more RAM, stick it in your machine, ?????, profit!

dependant on motherboard. if you ont know about computers i adise you go to a local PC place (large or small) and ask them. they will know what sort of memory, (speed, physical size) to use and jow much it can support.plus they can fit it for you
