ok im a constructor "w00t" and i do construction missions for symp "w00t again"
but if i was a researcher i would have almost double the amount of money i have :mad:

tl 150 construction mission = 18k
tl 150 research missions = 30k

the prob with tl 150 cst missions it cost 90 cg to make one thing plus you can destroy the bp so that = 700cr and having to abort mission

tl 150 res missions = MOE MOOOOOOONEY and not having to restart mission

may i ask why?

It is a function of the work required coupled with the failure rate. For a research mission you need to research the item three times. That's 85 goo or so each time so that's more than one pack. Plus the failure rates mean you could easily use more than 2-3 packs per batch of 3. So the reward is that high to compensate.

For construction (and I have a constructor) you only need to build it once. So that's 85 or whatever goo, only one time. Even if you fail it 3 times, that's still nowhere near the risk and losses when trying to research THREE times as opposed to building it ONCE.

my constructor is tl 207/150 self buffed with 95 int and dex o_O

the 30k for research mission remained from the time the research failure rate was higher. They made it same as construction failure rate some patch ago but didn not bother to change the reward. The same is for backpack, the email u get for a new account still explaines about the backpack feature.

It would be nice if the construct missions gave you three (or four just in case of one failure) BPs and had you make three items just like the research missions.

Blind figure it this way

3x 18k = 54k Credits
1x 30k = 30k Credits

The TL150 research mission requires at least 1/4 pack of substance I think it's 1/2 though and we'll say the construction costs the same so we'll consider each one fails 2 times and the substance costs 8k for cst an 7k for rs (I know its a bit off but run with it for now)

54k - 16k = 38k
30k - 14 = 16k

- the we'll say 2k from failing ur mission and having to get a new cub

36k

You're making 20k more than a researcher mission

TL 217 Constructor self buffed with around 80 base DEX/INT
TL 229 Researcher (with LE even) with capped INT.

I wouldn't gripe about the res/cst missions. They are sex in a bottle. If KK realizes we are actually getting somewhere as tradeskillers you know what's gonna happen? stfu! :O

constructors still failed 3 times but sometimes we have to RESTART the mission cos bp went BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
