I've heard a rumour that KK are going to reduce the weapon caps so that you caps weapons at a lower level.

Anyone able to confirm if this is indeed true?

Bah, thats BS. Its already too easy to cap skills, cap weapon dmg and get rare weapons... Shouldn't capped damage and rof be a reward for specializing in this particular skill?
NC is getting ridiculously easy. And don't tell me if its too easy I should pvp all the time. I have UT2k4 for that.

no this is good, non specialists hybrids will live again and it wont add a significant boost to high levels who already cap or near cap weapons but will add diversity and make the game easier for lower level players, who have been given a rough enough time anyway as most of the changes to high end players hit them worst

NC is getting ridiculously easy. And don't tell me if its too easy I should pvp all the time. I have UT2k4 for that.

Back in the day of early retail it used to be easy too, then specialisation came into play so you could only have 1 major skill if you wanted to be "the best", due to this people became bored quickly and...well...left. Although I don't know how much easier it will be made, I think a little step backwards for specialisation is not going to be much of a bad thing.

haha, tbh i think it will remain imposible to cap a cs' aim, and its not really needed, as its a pvp close combat weapon tbh. Thats how i think about it :lol:

All the quotes in that thread related to this subject that I could find, just so people read everything, and not just thew first post:


You might want to hold off a bit longer, hopefully with the next patch or two the skill's rework will be ingame, which might kill the need for 150 base.


Err. I should add so people don't get too freaked out, It's not a major rework, just adjustments made to the combat skills mainly (PC/RC/HC/RCL). And it's just an adjustment so that all weapons can be capped. So in most cases a boost to the skills you have already.

With a couple nerfs thrown in for good luck :lol:


I'll be giving more info on all of it hopefully within the next few days or so, closer to patch time if it gets included in the patch.

Research was adjusted a couple patches ago in both time & fail areas. It should be nearer to Construction now, tho admittedly, I haven't had a chance to see exactly what the changes did and if they're what was expected.

Considering there was some stats on a few of the weapons that not even a GM can cap. I think they were in need of an adjustment.

Well - I think it's a good thing - A little extra damage from some weapons might be a good step towards balancing other issues - I'd love to be able to deal that little bit more per shot to a PPU.

And of course the trolling was needed :rolleyes: although it does raise a point that somthing needs to be done to allow us to kill PPUs easier as at the mo they are pretty god like especialy in 1 on 1 situations.

dont suppose theres any ETA on the patch Lupus?

It's a readjustment, not a reduction (in most cases afaik).
Pistol users may actually be a bit pissed off with the changes....

tbh with my setup, im pretty close to capping my CS totally capped damage and RoF already, and about 10-20% from capping aiming

CS aiming is the only one i can think of

unless there is an aspect of the Punisher drone that couldnt be capped (range maybe)

Doesn't have an effect on cst and ress afaik but you don't need over 150 in those skills anyways if your DEX and INT is near cap.

I would be nice to be able to spec some AGL on spies though without gimping freq on there weapons. Its not that easy to get 190 r-c and then try to have a decent amount of agl too. And thats before you think about trying to get better resists or armour. (unless you go mad on the drugs!)

(i only go to op fights with my tankey.... self buffed i have around 255%) with no herc btw, with herc i would capp it with a hc1..
