I've "only" got a 2.4 Athlon, 64MB GeForce 4 (MX? FX? Can't remember the bloody letters off the top of my head) and 256MB of DDR RAM. Game runs perfectly fine for me....if I stay away from the Plaza 1, obviously. :p

Detail settings are almost maxed out as well, with the exception of draw distance (Which is about three quarters "up").

i even have all my details right down to the bottom dosent seem to make much difference tho

yeah i know, i can run doom 3 on 1024x780, almost all on high, and its smooth, not slow downs in FPS, as soon as some one pulls out a dev in nc poof bye bye Mr.FPS

athlon xp 3000+ gforce fx 5600 ultra with details all up (except veggies and fog) i maintain around 20 if im in the laggy ops and above 50 everywhere else

Why something change in the last patch?

I'll watch my fps, but it seems the same as before...

I need to figure out how to turn T and L off.....
Grass/brush is the only thing lagging me out now(on a high end system).....

AMD Athlon XP+ 2600, 768 Mb unbranded cheap RAM, GeForce FX 5700 Ultra...

usually 30-40 fps in combat, up to 100 in doy / nc / apt's

I would say the graphic card drivers is the problem.
I run an old gforce 3 ti 200 card and stable 20-30 fps
Can go donw for a half sec or something in plaza but I can live with that
as out in op wars I get good fps anyway

anyone know what the recommended specs for neocron 2 are?

I'm curious.

doesnt matter... performance varies from system to system (no matter what the spec's). NC seems very sesative to your drivers / hardware as apposed to the spec of your machine.

by that i mean gfx power isnt as important as what the gfx card actually is

but it'd give an idea of what the perfect neocron 2 computer should be.

Or at least what the company producing it thinks you should have.

and I do get decent frames, just the memory leak seems to produce hiccups or pause moments.

Like in plaza 1 when your running from ca hq towards the old crytons there's a line or something where the characters get loaded and thus you get lagged for a bit. Though with a bit of tweaking to the graphics card setup, I can sometimes achieve 111-125 fps, usually 30-50 fps per op fight.

my spec:
AMD-64 3.4GHz(Clocks base 2.2GHz)
1Gb Corsair RAM(2x512Mb-Paired)
Radeon 9800XT

Smoked... HOW ARE YOU GETTIN 15 FPS!!!! lol. i get on average around 250fps on the fps counter! lol. around 60-70 when i run Fraps. ive never dipped under. run a defrag on your machine, update all your drivers, do you use Omegadrivers (http://www.omegadrivers.net)?? That improved my FPS by around 50-100 in some games(BTW, im running most games in 1280x1024, and MAX detail) other than that, defrag regulary lol

PS: sorry if spelling is bad, im just too tired lol

Try switching to dx7? Or vice versa? See if that makes a difference to you.

*cough*

Ok, back to the topic. Did you try turning on DX9 mode? I am getting silky smoothness with AA/AF turned on in DX9, but severe chopiness in DX7. That might fix it for you.

In that case, thread closed. Can I ask you to please think twice before laying blame the next time you have a problem? Thanks.
