The fansite listing is available on Neocron.com now, go here (http://cp.neocron.com/23/Fan%20Sites) to check it out.
We closed the first fansite related thread here (http://forum.neocron.com/showthread.php?t=117283), any further fansite related matters have to be handled through the email address fansites@reakktor.com
Please contact fansites@reakktor.com if:
- you want to add or change a banner
- you want your site listed in a different category
- you want your site added to the fansite list (http://cp.neocron.com/23/Fan%20Sites)
Please follow these guidelines when submitting a new site.
1. Section: (Clan Site/Fan Site/Game Info/News-Press)
2. Site name:
3. Language:
4. URL:
5. Banner: (size: 380x60/ Max Filesize: 50k)
We will only include submissions which respect these guidelines.
We are also pleased to announce that a fansite kit is available now. It contains a simple HTML template and a lot of graphical resources (logos, screenshots, renders, a banner…). Using the HTML template it is possible to make a very nice looking site, even when you are new to website designing. To customize the template to your own liking, right-click on the HTML file and select “Edit”.
You can download it from the Neocron 2 Downloads Page (http://cp.neocron.com/17/downloads?lang=eng) (~15 MB).
wouldn't it be a good idea to include the font aswell?
Okay sorry for the double post ;) but on Most MMO sites ive seen e.g
Lineage II and Final Fantasy Online, they both have details of each class, for example human, Ogre etc.
Now looking through the Fansite Kit ive seen a 'classes' set of images.. Why not encorperate this into a page featuring details of each class:
Monk
Private Eye
Tank
Spy
Focusing on the images supplied in the Fansite kit.. I think this will add to versatility to the site.. Also making it 'newbie' friendly.

We'll give the fansite kit a version number and will update it from time to time.

The banners work as links, though I do agree the names need to work as well.
Hrmm - I don't see the banners.
Just non-hyperlinked plaintext, and no images.

Edit : Never mind - it seems to be a local browser issue - it works from a plain vanilla IE install on another machine

well i think i will try and kick start my RP diary and have done so by applying the template :D Just need to change a few more things on it and it will be ready.

Is the fansite listings not being updated anymore?
I also originally sent an email nearly 2 weeks ago now to ask for our banner to be added, then again on the 4th just incase they didn't get the first one :p. Still no changes though? :confused:

Aside from "updating" banners, how about getting banners to work at all? I'm using Firefox 1.0 and no banners display at all. I checked the html code looks ok other than the / after the border tag. However trying to load the .jpg's themselves showing nothing. Theres an image there but its just blank ;\

@ Odin: "Hectic". I can understand that getting the fansite updates delayed by a few days, maybe even a week. Hell, that happens here at my job. But it's been 6 weeks. And this isn't something that just has 'been forgotten' because we've been reminding and posting and PESTERING over and over and over again the entire time. I was dabbling in starting a NC2 Webring typed community to promote NC2 on the web - but there is NO ambition to do that, let alone update nc.syn when the *simplest* of requests can't be fulfilled in almost two months. I'm not asking for NPC Playershops and Item Tracking here :rolleyes:

There is no Info on the FTP access... they just cant be arsed basiclly.. sadly FN left the community and fortited his forum account...
just another primes example of KK's in-ability to finish anything..

It would be nice to have the fansite listings updated especialy with changes to the new banners and corrections in regards to languages e.g. www.techhaven.org (http://www.techhaven.org) being english but as one of the new admins at nc.syn as FN left i guess i should have a go at complaining aswell, question is though are there problems with the web team at KK as it would seem all aspects of the neocron.com website are falling behind.
Nidhogg i guess this is another one for you to peek into with your new title :)
Hey, bumping is bad, but in this case I'll let you off. I knew there was something else I needed to add to my to-do list and this was it. In the scheme of things I'd probably not get as worked up over this one as one or two other things but I don't see any reason why it can't be finished off.
Let me see what I can do.
