apu, with boost i cap a flame apoc (3 slot) but my rank stays at 51/58 0_o, i also cap a 3 slot poison beam, and that doesnt take me above 46/58. i have about 300 pool though, can be a little hard levelling with ppus on occasion you see :(

small pool gives a lower rank.

you must have around 180 odd APU ?(if your capped) So it leaves you with a smaller pool, ie lower rank.

yup my apu had 184 apu and a pool of 320 and a rank of 52/** :D

Also some spells seem to give more rank than you'd expect. Try a well-slotted energy beam or halo.
