Hi Community,
1) Why are the travellines so small? I get pushed down by players and programs
2) Why do programs "run" away? (Especially annoying when you hunt Codebreaker parts)
3) Why do mobs avoid hovering over the paths (in DNS) and why is it so hard to introduce a method of getting up from the bottom again without waiting 2 minutes for reset_position 1?
4) Why do the elevators run so slow when this is supposed to be a data highway?
5) Why is there no SL penalty for killing runners in travelzones? (wasnt that introduced in patchnotes?)
6) Why do I need a pure leveled hacker to get codebreakers?
7) Why do people just take their capped NC1 spies and LOM them into pure hackers?

1) No idea but you might cut down on agl and atl to control your speed better.
2) They come back after a while, at least most.
3) I would aprecciate that, just make the elevators go down the whole way.
4) Like that, gives time to prepare defense and regen.
5) Dunno.
6) Because HN is supposed to be a fulltime thing, it needs to be this way.
7) Maybe because it's an easy way to make money or because you can hold an OP with just one person that way if the attackers are not prepared for that.

8) Why the @%$!%! don't implants work in Hacknet? Hello? 30+ of my TC comes from imps! 18 of my Hack comes from imps! 10 of my INT comes from imps!

Fix the implant problem.

It's not a problem. It's good that it's that way, because in order to be good in hacknet, you have to gimp yor dex and int.

It's not a problem.Yeah, it is a problem. It means more people who have to be so specialized that they're useless outside Hacknet. I realize that Saturn mentality says make alts, but not everyone is interested in building specialized mules just to access a new game feature.

100 hack and TC with imps won't make anyone a god inside hacknet, but it'll let people do things without being "uber". As it stands, 70-odd TC is rough.

Isn't that the whole point of Hacknet though? The more powerful you become inside the 'Net, the less powerful you are outside of it. A sort of Deus Ex Machina thing going.

Yes Hacknet needs work but you can't have best of both worlds. If u wanna be great at hacknet, or great at pvp, u will have to gimp urself one way or the other.

Well judging by the way the 127/127 mobs (kernel mobs in any faction system + the ping of death) cut through anyone without much trouble I'd imagine they're not finished with hacknet yet. Either that or there are rare softwares no-one has managed to get :confused:

Either way I think specialisation is going to be the only way to get the top goods from hacknet.

Personally I find it rather bloody annoying that imps fall out after death in Hacknet, considering they have no damn effect.

Ok if there are pure hackers, and they are the only ones who can do everything in HN, why does the character need to level in the "real world" and LOM when he reaches INT 30? :)

One 127/127 mob should always globsmack one 60/60 runner, to be honest.

/ oh, and yes, the smart hacker would go in sans implants. After all, where you're coming out, you're not likely to need implants, nor will you be well served by having them, either.

6) Thatsa good thing. If you don't want a pure hacker buy them off some1 who has got pure hack. It introduces more communication.

8) B/c you are in a vertual world, implants shouldn't work there, its not a bug its how its supposed to be. And a very good more. Stops people shoving all the right imps in and being the daddy in hacknet till they deceide not to.. After all you can get what.... 55hc and 50 tc from imps?

I agree but atm they kill all runners in a couple shots. With no way of rezzing and the fact that with a capped lvl 3 def + heal the 127/127s cut through anyone like butter lots of runners is just going to equal a massacre.
The areas with the 127/127 mobs also have very few places to hide and certainly not at the entrances which have 100/100 mobs sitting beside them.

After all, where you're coming out, you're not likely to need implants, nor will you be well served by having them, either.Says who? Hacknet is an overlay of the NC GR system. It's very convenient to pop out of Hacknet at a remote location to avoid SI. I do it all the time.

I don't see a reason why Hacknet should be considered a dungeon unto its own. It integrates well into the real world. Spies are perfectly suited to both hacking and using pistols/rifles, with great proficiency in one and good proficiency in the other using implants. SF, SA, Advanced Nerves, one of the Smart Cybereye ideas - all serve (or served) to boost hacking along with boosting other stats.

The shots dont push, but the mobs sometimes move toward me and "push" me down :)

I am a hacker/rifle spy too and I can kill a few 60/60 at a time so I'm happy enough - just a few very annoying bugs/features I would love to see changed.

And question 7) was a bit of critizism, its frustrating when you get your ass ganked in the "real world" AND in HN even though Hacknet is something new :) Im a NC2 newcomer ;)

because breakin into a DB is to easy and a BP would be worth sh** on the free market?

i agree that tere should b esome changes in mobs and that reset position stuff but again, hachnet is not ment to be the "virtual aggie cellar" where noobs get free stuff.

€: see the implant thing as a bonus - u can use imps that are usefull in the outside world.

It was suggested by various people already that you shouldn't be able to access your own faction's database either without a codebreaker. That would make the profession really useful.

Hmm I wouldnt even object anymore :)
But I hope I have more luck tomorrow - I was hunting for Codebreaker Parts and got like 30 - none of them is 001 or 002 :(

More unpleasant-hacknet-experiences:
I entered Biotech today (interesting: they have more countermeasures than NEXT or PP) and did the following: I shot at every mob until they had enough hp so i could kill them with one shot. I tried that with 4 mobs - but: when all are as damaged as that, I have to either jump down or wait for one of them to hover over a path (lol - we both know what the chances of that are ;)).
So I jumped (I cant jump when I enter because either all of them aggro (around 8) or only 2 or less do so (means more reset_position) and guess what: falling damage is about 150 hp - nearly half my hp :wtf: (and I dont get those hp back like in travelzones).
Now all of the 4-5 mobs start shooting at me and BANG im dead. :lol:
Please fix SOMETHING. :rolleyes:

I would love to see TS database working.. or is it just me? I can go through the process of picking what I want from the database and then the next screen has no text on it and nothing filled in the cube, maybe I am doing something wrong I have heard it may not be working.. O_o

i just get shit fps in hacknet on a 256mb card. could use some tips with that if anyones got any.
