Okay so for my A-level graphics coursework I have to re-design (build from scratch) A CD-cover/disc art


here is my first attempt:

Im meant to do a development of idea.. but i just came out with this and like it :p

With the hazard stripes- Lose the footplate on that part and you're on to a winner. :)

i like simple CD designs... but that prolly wont get you many marks on coursework :p

a simple silver CD with the headphones would look good IMO, but maybe not in a picture :p

however i dont think the footplate effect comes off well on the CD personally

yeah I hate busy designs.. but its the designs tht get the marks.. as for the foot-plate.. im gonna print it off at college with the glossy paper slap it on then see what its like..

what ya think of the front-Slide though Jester?

hmmm... mahole covor could work.

ilike the front cover :)

:edit: the CD cover is just too busy. tbh its coursework so it needs to show as much skill as possible. thats why i wouldt just use the same effects / gfx on the CD too. try a manhole cover :)

not fancy just grey with yellow text and the little caution sign with headphones and a lil shadow on one side to give it more of a 3d look

keep the same steel rivited look though....just doesnt look as good on the CD as on the cover

Remember not to merge any of the layers on your PSD unless you have to, they're gonna want to look at the individual layers to see how ya did it.

Okay so Lexxuk pm'd me and raised issues about the word 'Ibiza' and I agreed that the roadsigns and the footplate didnt really go with 'Ibiza'

Ibiza you think of sun etc.. so ive changed it to 'Urban'

the back cover still says 'Ibiza Anthems'

I wish I could use Photo Shop.
