Anyone else have this problem with the windows update feature

Since installing the last windows update, the little windows thing in the taskbar is there constantly, not doing anything, just sitting at 0%.

I have my automatic updates on the one where it downloads them for you then notifies you when its complete, never had this little logo stay there before :confused:

has anyone else got this recently, i'm on windows XP pro with SP1

I'd run the Web-browser based one at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (Must use IE :()

havent had a check for that when its up, currently its gone away :p

i used the web-based version to check if i needed any updates but i didn't

Ok, this is purely hypothetical off course :


Just assume i have an illegal copy of windows running, i will also have this.
Sometimes it goes away, sometimes it comes back. Also i would not be able to install SP2.

I then would, hypotheticaly speaking, have to find software to change my product key again to one that's not listed as being pirated.

Surely you all realize that this would never be the case with me as i only run legal softwares on my computers :angel:
