This graphics card supports DX9, yet in the Neocron Launcher Configure Hardware window DX9 does not appear as an available option...any ideas ppl

I have Direct X 9.0c installed

all i could find about that card stated it was a Dx8 card, not Dx9.

Indeed, many cards say they support DX9, but either don't or cannot use it's features.

as DJ said it should be capable of playing DX9 games but it certainly won't be able to use any of the features of DX9. The config for nc prolly checked your cards capabilities and disabled the option to use DX9 cuz it would be pointless for you to use it.

yea all geforce 4 cards are based on DX 8.1 they can play DX9 games but aint based on it. cards like the Nvid Geforce 6800 are build on DX9.

A clanmate had this problem and solved it by downloading WHQL drivers from Microsoft. Old drivers but DX9 works now, don't ask me why 8|

Wierd, a mate of mine has the same problem... yet with my old GF3 card it runs using DX9 perfectly fine, of course without the fancy water effects etc :)
