[OT] Get Jonax back online!

Okay, I admit it - The cold turkey from being away from MMOGs is getting to me, especially NC2 (maybe researching was a relaxing thing o_O)

For those who don't know, I'm now at Abertay Uni (http://www.abertay.ac.uk) in Dundee studying Computer Games Technology (:D) Only problem is that the first-year accommodation has no net access :mad:

So now I've gotta think of some ways to get back online, and it'd likely need some completely insane advice that no-one would think of... >D

My options so far:
1) Somehow convince either Holgan or MJS that KK sponsoring Abertay with free copies of the game is a good idea
2) Find the equipment to search for UWNs (Unsecure Wireless Networks) hoping that there's one around my halls
3) Burn down a pet store (okay, not exactly relevant but would relieve my urge to kill/gank someone >D)
4) Tell the government that Japan has WMDs and then take their broadband after the dust has cleared (hey, it worked for Iraq ;))
5) Gamble my student loan at a nearby casino for four years of satellite broadband.

Any more ideas guys? :angel:

(NOTE - This isn't necessarily a serious thread. Just ATM bored and hoping that out of the crazy ideas that there's one that could be worth a shot ;)

Option 2 is feasable, said equipment is pretty cheap (in the UK anyway) supposing you already have a comp/laptop.

I don't bloody believe it - Less than 24 hours after I posted this, I get a decent idea! 8| Maybe I should ask about get-rich-quick schemes here as well :lol:

Anyway, I've found out that some of the guys in my class and in another flat in my halls have been sneaky little gits and managed to get broadband - By having a BT line installed into their flat. Warden said nothing about it and said it was alright - Whether he'd have been fine about it anyway or whether it's purely based on the fact they're tearing down the halls next summer, we dunno :wtf:

Anyway, it's gotten the guys in my flat interested - 4-5 of us are thinking of getting the same put into ours (probably NTL though - Works out to be cheaper) and having a wireless network to share a 1mbps line (should work out to be less than £8 a month each, which ain't bad :D).

Either way, I gotta see the warden myself and research the ISPs, but I could be back in NC2 within a matter of weeks :D In the meantime, anyone recommend any decent broadband ISPs (with a minimum contract of less than 12 months, if at all)? :)
