Unable to login :( (what happened?)

I logged into terra about 15 minutes ago and everything was fine.

I get to the login screen this time, try to login and i get a fatal error when its synchronising me into the game.

Please note, that i tried to login to another server with a different character and the same happened.

What has changed? I noticed the announcement about ensuring that certain ports were open and tried to adjust my router firewall accordingly, still nothing, i removed my router and plugged directly into my modem, still nothing....

Dont make me take down my software firewall...........

What is the problem ?!?! :( I'm paying to play this game..

Anyone else got this or is it just me?

Try restarting your computer and then try to log in again.

Unfortunately after two restarts the problem has not been resolved. Since no-oneseems to be having the same problem I am guessing this is a problem specific to me.

*gives up hope*

I need my fix...
please help or i may have to face real life.

UPDATE: i decided to see what effect changing some of the options would have, seems i can login using the D3D7 driver (so i can stop shaking :p )

Run a file check... somthing may have become corrupt or somthing.
