we...

shall...

we shall not be patched!

back on topic... small frequent patches are good... big bug fixing patches are also good... communication is best

Maybe they are working on the memory leak and graphics issues at last. Might take a while to track down and fix, but IMHO more important than little content patches.

as i said... big patches are good... but communication is vital.

KK should be trying to earn our trust after so many fuckups, and they can start by telling us whats going on.

give us a rough idea of when the patch is due, tell us what your trying to include in it.

we dont need definates (justmake sure you say its not definates) but you really need to talk to people. the amount of patches was good, it impressed people. if you wanna do a big patch now im all for it, but keep us informed

Umm.. guys? Expecting a patch per day is a bit much. We can go a few days without a patch, and not require a detailed explanation from KK. Most MMO's have patches spread weeks or even months apart.

I think KK spoiled us last week. =)

I'm just dying for 3 things to be 'patched'. Used to be 2, but lately I've been experiencing a new problem.

>> ITEM TRACKING!!!!

>> NPC PLAYER-SHOPS!!!

>> And please, for the love of all that's holy, fix the Memory Leak soon. I've started increasing the amount of time I've been spending in-game. Over time, I watch my "FREE MEM" portions drop, and drop, and drop, with each zone and player loaded. I have 1gb of ram and a 1gb swap file. Half a doze times though my computer has come to a grinding halt with a frozen screen saying "1 MB / 2012 MB" and I have to hit the reset button.

It's an MMORPG. It's meant to be played at length. This memory leak issue sucks. I've been running FreeMemPro now but haven't had the balls to make scrubbing active when the CPU isn't idle :(

A new patch is due imminently (possibly tomorrow) so don't be getting the impression that KK have decided to just put their feet up. No idea on content as yet though.

Hvae to hit reset button ????
What windows are you using that do not let the memory free when you exit the game ?
I got 1.2 gig ram and when it is down to 20 meg ingame I exit the game and all memory is clear right away in windows xp.
Not using any special program for it either

I start at 200/1200 and don't have to exit till it is 0/400 usually, that's when it starts getting really bad. Takes about 2-3 hours depending where I am.

I could do the same. Sometimes I do. If I notice I'm at <50mb of FREE MEM, I'll restart NC2 and it's fine. But I'm not watching that thing 24/7. It's when it bottoms out at 3MB or less that the computer basically freezes. If I'm really quick, I can hit escape and it will still countdown and I'll get out, but many times I don't notice it fast enough and the lock-up is so strong that keyboard combinations even fail to work. Hence the only option, reset.

hmm, my memory leak seems to be a bit bigger than most people, as i'm usually running out of memory (1gb ram + 1 gb page file) within 10-15 mins, and then, when memory hits 3-4 mb free i just simply crash...

Nice, hopefully most of the content will be addressing various issues/bugs. Would be nice. :0

i have 1gb ram, and usually i dont crash, but it stutters like hell and i see the free mem thing jump up and down wildly.

i sometimes i'll just log out and back in if i notice it in time, or if im in a safezone i'll alt-tab and use memmonster to recover it.

memory leak? UH? since this updated beta of NC2(ie: retail release :P) I havn't suffered with any mem leak problem. i have 1Gb Corsair ram, and upto a 4Gb Page file. i usually load NC2 with about 500-600/1900, roughly. when i finish with NC2, ie: have a smoke :P or whatever, i have around 400ish free mem. i rarely drop below 400mb tbh, sowrry guys, cant help with this one :)

Mind you, i would love to see droners fixed in this next patch :P

i have 512mb ram swap file set for 4GB , also have like 3/3889mb ingame but it works pretty fine, only heavy cashing while travelin thru whole world. So its pretty ok. But FPS drop since last patch is much. About fatal errors like 3 for 12h of playin last night, which is pretty nice afaik

Rise your swap file and it shoudl be better, fast HDD is also pretty important here

Seems even if you had a 100 Gig swapfile NC would manage to suck the life out of it

It's the only game that makes my PC squeal like a pig.
